for christmas, my brother's girlfriend got him 3rd row seats for the big game last week against the new jersey institute of technology.
she's a not a big sports fan so it was a nice gesture. she also got him an eagles jersey with his name on the back.
yes, we made fun of him.www.myspace.com0 -

Fran Dunphy at Trenton Catholic(NJ) on Saturday watching Rysheed Jordan(6'4") of Vaux. Rumor is he's down to Temple, St. John's and UCLA. I haven't seen him play yet, but my scouting buddies say he's the BEST SR. in Philly.0

Well the Explorers blew it. Doc G can't adjust and they had zero offensive flow in the 2nd half.
Colorado got robbed last night. How do you have a replay and still blow that call?Alright, alright, alright!

that would have been a nice win for LaSalle. If they can finish in the Top 4 in the A10, which is going to a brutal league, they could be tourny bound. A10 could be looking at up to 6 teams in the tourny this year. A few huge wins with temple over syracuse, butler over indiana and st. louis over new mexico. league is stacked from 1-8 or so.
Hawks have one more scrub game on saturday before opening league play against Butler wednesday night. really looking forward to that game.
Colorado totally choked but got screwed on the replay. clearly good when slowed down fully.0 -

Can the Owls just stay in the A-10???

was a great college basketball game and great atmosphere...just a lousy result again. Hawks played fairly well until about the last 6 minutes. Butler is really good. they just play, possession after possession they are the same. never take a play off so never have droughts and always in the game. Rotnei Clarke is really good. Great shot, good handle, tough as nails. Really like his game. Butler got 52 of 72 points and 37 of 62 shots from their 2 best players. our top two guards were a combined 6 for 19 from the field and 1 for 7 from 3 and scored only 18 points. that won't get it done. Phil just can't win close games. another season drifting away from us.0 -
LaSalle folds on the road again!!!!!Alright, alright, alright!

getting tix to the cuse game in a couple weeks. pretty big contingent heading down looks like. will be kind of weird since tip off is at 11am though. :?
nova has been encouraging thus far. brutal 6 game stretch coming up.
i think 9-9 in the big east is a possibility even if they only win a couple of these next 6 though.
just show me some fight on saturday. GO CATS.www.myspace.com0 -
Owls lost to Xavier the other night. I didn't see it, but apparently X had a 19-2 run in the 2nd half to put the game mostly out of reach. I bet Dunph never bothered to call a timeout during the run. He acts like you can carry those over to the next game or next season or something.
Home vs. St. Louis tonight - should be a good one. Was thinking the same thing with Pinkston, as i was watching the game. I wonder why he didn't play more?0 -
Hawks had another opportunity for a big win against VCU on the road and choked it away in almost comical fashion. 14 seconds left up 4 get a defensive rebound...and fucking lose. pretty hard to do. get the rebound and our center falls on top of our guard making him travel (30 seconds after our power forward slipped on th floor with the ball with no one within 30 feet on him), leave the best 3 point shooter in the league wide open for a 3, inbounds to our 2nd worst foul shooter, make 1 out of 2, give up a wide open layup for the tie, don't get a shot off in the last 6 seconds. it's games like last night that make me question being a sports fan. seriously why do i torture myself?0

Agree.
Also wonder how many LAY-UPS they gave up? Seemed like ALOT to me.0 -

year away from a legit shot at a tourney berth (ineligible this year). Skerry has done an amazing job in just his second year and Benimon is an animal.
