with the Zags losing last night Nova could be moving towards a #1 seed if they win out. I hate em but they are really good. play the right way, play hard, share the ball and a great mix of upperclassmen and talented underclass. gotta think they are headed for a Sweet 16 at worst this year.

and how about Bill Murray at the LaSalle game yesterday? didn't realize his son is an assistant at Rhode Island.

if they win the rest of their games and get pretty far in the big East tourny, they should get a #1 seed i believe.
Lunardi has them as a 1 right now. As long as they are on the opposite side of the bracket as Kentucky....the 2 seed in the east would be fine me.

LaSalle is so disappointing but at least Bill Murray was at the game Saturday.

You have to throw everything out the window when it's a Big 5 match up. Or at least the positives for St. Joe's can be thrown out the window for LaSalle's sake. The explorers don't play with much heart.

Peaking at the right time. Complete and utter domination today against a tournent team. I think St Johns is projected as an 8 seed.

yeah i thought it would be a little closer since St. John's is kinda good. Pretty sure this win combined with Virginia's loss solidified a #1 seed

the johnnies were missing 2 of their best players....but they still lead by 10 in the first half. i could not watch or listen to the 2nd half--it was like a 4 point game at halftime but nova ended up winning by almost 40.

Nova is playing as well as anyone in the country right now. I only saw a bit of the beginning of the St. John's game and the Johnnies looked pretty good early. to win that big is impressive. they are going to be a very tough out in the NCAAs.

almost 60% from 3 pt range yesterday. fucking crazy.

i know it's unlikely and i'm TOTALLY getting ahead of myself but i just want them to be able to avoid kentucky until the last possible chance they can. would love a 1 seed in the east. complete other side of bracket than kentucky plus more fans at their games in the 2nd weekend. something about being out in LA makes me nervous.

    rooting for virgina to lose....

yeah i was pretty shocked. Earlier in the day PTI had a debate on of those two teams who had a better chance of losing. I think both said Virginia if they had to choose.

So guess that makes Nova the #2 team overall (as long as they beat Xavier tonight).

well no they didn't. They were playing oddsmakers. and the question was who has a better shot at losing, Duke or Virginia?

Did you see the cover of the latest Sports Illustrated? Who can beat Kentucky? they named about 5 schools and none were Villanova.

Well that's bullshit. Not that I think they would beat Kentucky but Nova is one of the better teams from 3 point range in the country. Almost set a Big East tourney record the other day with 16 for 59%. I would think a huge factor into beating Kentucky would to be able to kill them from long distance. Nova has 6 guys who can do that consistently. I don't think there are many other teams who can say the same thing.

while UCLA is a joke Temple's resume wasn't all that strong. They had a losing record against the Top 200 teams in the nation and while finishing 4th in their league won zero games against the 3 teams ahead of them.

Nova got a great draw in my opinion. Top half is weak. I think they are a lock to get to the Final 8 where I think their toughest matchups are Michigan St (who will beat Virginia) and Oklahoma.

I think there are maybe 5 teams with any chance to beat Kentucky. Nova is one of them. Wisconsin and Arizona I think have the best chances. Duke because of their talent level and Coach K and I think because of their size North Carolina would have a shot. I think that's really it. I love Notre Dame and Maryland teams this year but don't see either of them beating Kentucky. Neither has enough size. bad draws for those 2 teams.

    Good luck Nova people.

I was in Brooklyn to watch my Explorers lose a heart-breaker. The season ends with poor coaching once again. No points in the final 5 minutes chucking nothing but 3's after you score inside at will all day long.

Thumbs down for the Barclays Center. It's clean. I'll give it that much but just so generic and zero variety for food and beverages.
