not only do they not need a saxophonist, they need to drop the keyboardist. nothing against Boom or keyboards in general, I just don't feel it fits their music.
I absolutely agree 100 % with this!
I too, feel Boom does not fit their music. Nothing against Boom, I'm sure he is a cool dude.

A full time saxophonist working with Pearl Jam, I'm not sure about that. But a few tracks or too contributed I wouldn't mind & I think it would be great to hear.

That's the worst idea I've ever heard in my life,
Yes, this is horrible, this idea.

Personally I think a sax makes rock music sound cheap...like Huey Lewis but that's me. Although on Badmotorfinger there is a song that rocks a sax out...i can stomach it but it still sounds a bit out of place.
Comeback would be the only thing of off the top of my head I'd be interested to hear a sax on...interesting post.

well yea that is cheap sax music but if you do what bruce springsteen did and make the sax an integral part of the band, it can sound really fucking beautiful. same can be said for dmb.
I'm still waiting for the horn section Ed promised at MSG 7/9/03. Ya know, in reference to keeping up with that family in Jersey that is naming their kids after the band members.

i don't think a full out horn section is going to happen. but considering they've dabbled with the saxophone in the past, i certainly think this is possible. ed hinted at it in some interviews that came out last year. to me, this is just the natural evolution of the band.
You know, they played @ the "Jazz Festival" last May. Wouldn't hurt to have a Saxophonist on stage on a song or two you know. Maybe on Lukin or something.
