    Jeff:

There was an old photo of you with a 70's GTO or some other car of the sorts, with the engine open and a condenser mic hanging over it. Can we expect some other innovative experimental sounds on this record?

    Thanks

    -Seth

    Jeff, one more question:

Out of the 12 or so years of working on this, was there one main bass rig that kept giving you the sound you desired or were you consistantly changing it up depending on your mood towards the song when it came time to recording.

    Thanks again

    -Seth

  • Do you plan on touring in support of this, and if so who would be in your live band?
  • Did you write all of the lyrics on this record on your own, or was there collaboration with another artist/artists?
  • Were there any particular musical influences that contributed to your development of the songs or your style in general? (and will the big fuzzy hat ever make a comeback? )

Why did you change the album name from "aTONEment" to "Tone"? I thought "aTONEment" was so creative.

Also, do you plan on touring in support of this album? If you do, PLEASE come to the south- Florida and/or Georgia would be grand! :)

I know that Robbie Robb's group, Tribe After Tribe, just had an album released, but will we ever see a Three Fish reunion?

What ever happened to the Starting Lineup Action figures that you used to put on top of your amp back in the 90's? I know the reason why you stopped putting them up there (people started stealing them- I believe in Orlando, FL was the first one stolen :( ) But what happened to them?

How would you describe the sound of this album?

Doing an album without the band, do you approach it in a different way or not, and why? Did you find this process more challenging since you didn't have their creative inputs as much, or less challenging because you didn't have any possible conflicting viewpoints of theirs to deal with?

    Thanks, keep rockin!

  • Let's get serious here. Clearly the most important question is will the awesome hat(s) ever come back and/or did you wear it and use their secret powers in the recording process?

Jeff, for how long were the songs on the album brewing in your head? Is this the work of a few years or the culmination of your entire career?

  • Jeff, has this solo project carried a constant theme through the 12 year process, or did it evolve as you yourself evolved in the last 12 years?

  • With Metallica already announcing that their new album has "The Unforgiven III" on it, will we be seeing "Sweet Lew II: The Rebound" anytime soon?

  • Was the music for this solo project compiled over your whole career or has it been just over the past few years? In your own words describe the tone and texture of this work. Was it drawn from mountain tops or cities? Is it dark (as Mike McCready says your music is) or is it lighter and fun?

    Question....

It is no secret that all musicians are always writing and jotting down ideas. That said, were the songs on this record written specifically for THIS project knowing someday it would happen, or are some of them old Pearl Jam or Three Fish ideas that either never caught on, or have been retooled over the years?

Follow up....How much singing do you do on the record lead/backup?

    Thanks......Scott :)

    Hello Jeff,

Congrats on the new project and thanks for sharing!

How has over 15 years of being 'on the road' influenced your songwriting/lyrics in this solo effort?

    Thanks,

    Steve
