    sports guy...funny stuff

Mike McCarthy doing his Andy Reid impersonation -- it's like watching the Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker of Bad Clock Management grabbing their light sabers for three hours. Don't sleep on McCarthy: He's the one who prompted Brad from Tampa to e-mail me, "Can you ask one of your readers to make a YouTube video of Mike McCarthy as MacGruber? Whenever McCarthy has to battle the clock, the clock always wins. I'm waiting for the day when he calls for a fake FG in the two-minute offense with the Packers down four. MCCARTHY!!!!!"

Love it. Here, I re-wrote the theme song for the YouTube clip maker ...

    MCCARTHY!
He can't understaaaand that three zeroes are a bad thing
    MCCARTHY!
It's like crossing Herm Edwards with Andy Reeeeeeid
    MCCARTHY!!!!!!
He goes through timeouts like an all-you-can-eat buffeeeet
    MCCARTHY!!!!!!!

really disappointed that the jets are playing the colts in the first round. I was looking forward to betting against both of those teams in round 1.

Sadly, I can't say that anyone else in the NFC is more of a favorite. No one stands a chance if the Pats keep playing like they have been.

I can't see how the Pats don't win this season, but we all know what happened a few years ago... This should be a good playoff season, and like usual we're sure to get some upsets along th eway

if the eagles can win on sunday, i'd say they have a nice shot at getting there.

i can see the saints beating atlanta....thus, in this scenario, making the nfc championship game return to philadelphia for the first time in 6 seasons...

    go birds.

what a disgrace. cable guy has done a decent job out there.

apparently al davis was concerned that hugh jackson, their offensive coordintor, was going to get the san fran job. so he canned cable guy hoping he can convince jackson to be his head coach. i guess he doesn't want one of his own going across the bay and resurrecting that team while his languishes around .500 or worse....but it looks like san fran is going for harbaugh or josh mcdaniels ( ) at this point.

bottom line: al davis is an old idiot who needs to retire ASAP.

forgot that the NFL changed the OT rules for playoff games. this league is such a joke. I can't wait for baseball to start

deciding a game largely on the flip of a coin is almost as stupid as shootouts in the nhl. at least the losing team doesn't still get credit for it in the nfl. i think they could have made the rules better though.

everything i have seen has said, the NFL gets paid by the networks regardless of if their is a season.

other than all the ill will created, a work stoppage might be in the owners best financial intrest.
