That last min really left me asking WTF was that?????

McCarthy I still like him as our coach.

Tuff loss but dam proud of this team.

Team has played their ass off this year despite the injuries. I just can't stand this lack of clock management that consistently happens with Mac. It's one thing if it just happened last night, but it has happened all the time with Mac as coach. Look at his record in close games, pathetic. I feel like we have a lot of talent going to waste. They looked completely clueless in the 2 min drill, and that's 100% on the coach. Don't they practice the 2 min drill?

Dan Connolly??? Are you kiddin me? 71 yards? 313 pounds? That was awesome!
  • Thank goodness Mike McCarthy turned into Herm Edwards at the end of that game. We survived that one last night after playing like absolute poop for 60 minutes. They need to really bring it the next two weeks for me to feel comfortable going forward in the playoffs. There might be reason for concern with our inability to stop the run.

So, I met Roger Goodell standing in line to see the Radio CIty Music Spectacular this weekend. We chatted for a bit about the league and such. I wish I had the balls to tell him that the Nfl is becoming a pansy league with the penalties for hits on a qb. There were several of these called in the Skins-Boys game yesterday for pushing the qb slightly or tapping the qb's helmet.

I could see the point in penalties on a defenseless receiver, but man these roughing the passer penalties are out of control.

....and very funny, I couldn't believe what i was seeing. The Patriots needed that run too, I can't understand why the Patriots do not play very well at home.

i would have told him that.

what the NFL needs to do is teach tackling instead of hitting. everybody leads with a shoulder now a days to try and knock you down, vs. wrapping their arms around the ball carrier. tackling is a lost art.

i don't know where it starts, but i would guess in the NFL...there are some big hits in college, but not to teh same level as in the NFL.

other than the sudo bcs bowl crap, i prefer the college game.

Boy... is there a team more cursed this season than the Minnesota Vikings? I really don't feel bad for that organization, but I feel for the fans...

You go into this season thinking that you are a legitimate contender
Deal with the annual Favre drama
The team's record quickly go to the shitter
Favre becomes more of a distraction after stories of him texting his junk comes out
You get Randy Moss for like 5 minutes and he acts like... well... Randy Moss and is released
    Your team keeps losing
Your coach acts like a d-bag and gets fired
Your stadium's roof caves in and your team has to play a home game in Detroit
Your "savior" quarterback gets gangrene in his throwing shoulder and ends his streak

...the "savior" qb comes back a couple weeks later only to be knocked out again.

wow what a weird year for the vikings. kinda reminds me of the '05 birds in a way...

me too but I found it harder to like him this year. I wish he just ended his career with the big win over the Cowboys last year. It would've been a better way to go out, but hindsight is 20-20...

  • What games(s) is everyone watching this weekend?? The Jets vs the Bears looks like a good one at 11, Giants and Packers at 2. Then Vick on Sunday night, followed by the Saints and Falcons Monday night...that should be a good battle! I'm also pulling for the Bills and the Raiders because I don't like the Patriots or the Colts, lol
