For the first 3 eps or so, I was kinda skeptical of Steve playing Nucky. Now I'm convinced he's perfect for that role. Hope he gets his Best Actor Emmy next year.

I was really happy with last-week's episode. Things are starting to come together.

actually watching it last night i realized it might not be too far fetched. she's probably supposed to be mid 30's in the show. jimmy has got to be no older than 20. he just got back serving a couple years in the war. people had kids much earlier in those days. she could have easily had him at 15 or 16. i think it makes sense....though, i don't believe they had breast implants in those days. :)

Jimmy is 23 as mentioned in an episode, so maybe she was 12 when she had him...and people still have kids at an early age..close to half of our female high school students have kids or are pregnant...anyway, great show..

I love this show, HBO has another hit. Nuckie is the shit and the king. I had a dream once where I was in the bathroom and nuckie comes in and asks me if I want to smoke one with him....true story, the dream was so real

i think he's the guy who played kathy bates' son in revolutionary road. he was pretty creepy in that movie as well.

Okay I feel better about this one then i have the last two. Things are picking up a little steam. I think the end is going to pay off.
Lots of tension between Jimmy and Al which is cool. Loved Jimmy taking that guy out.

Oh and for the poster above who smoked one with Nucky in the bathroom... that is a pretty cool dream! :D I always do stupid shit in my dreams lol

So, do you think that Al is going to take out Jimmy sometime in the future? Or so you think the steaks were sort of an apology? And holy crap is Van Alden wound tight  I don't think the self-flagellation could even loosen him up :? Just goes to prove the point of the Mediaeval Church though, flagellants weren't righteous and holy, just sexually frustrated, masochistic tight-asses :lol::lol:

I'm not sure about Jimmy & Al. I could see it going either way

That Van Alden stuff was crazy. I had a hard time reading what he was looking at. Did his wife die of a miscarrage and somehow he feels guilty for it?

i thought he was looking at margaret shroeder's report. that was her picture too, wasn't it?....he even turned his wife's picture down before he started.

    great episode.

"i think you'll agree that greek town belongs to us now."
that scene was fucking epic.

and with capone and jimmy.....i'm not sure. it did seem sincere. it's also apparent al knows jimmy is a threat to him and might be a little intimidated of him. keep your friends close and enemies closer....

all in all...this show continues to grow and develop it's characters. i didn't care much for jimmy's character earlier on. but they've really developed him over the past few weeks.

    great episode.

Yep, it was Margret's immigration report and was defo her picture. I thought at first that he was just going to sit down and jerk-off looking at her picture. The scene set up actually reminded me of a scene in the penultimate episode of Rubicon. Definitely a great episode.
