Not according to the prices.  Plus they expect a blowout viewership.  These are true blue-bloods with huge, extended alumni and nationwide brands.  I bet this ratings are through the roof.
ESPN has to be thrilled that ND made it. Now they hope the game stays competitive to keep eyeballs glued.
Nah, the game is over and quite honestly should not even be played. ESPN isn't happy because it should have been UGA/Texas or UGA/Ohio. But for real though, no need to play it. The Natty was decided the second Ohio beat Oregon.

I'm simply repeating what I've been reading here...and everywhere.
I don't know I was reading what your HOF QB Malik Zaire was saying along with Lou Holtz, and it sounds like the Buckeyes shouldn't even show up.

It was certainly annoying of Malik, but I know why he likely did it: a guy that never was a has been hosts a podcast and understands the clicks he likely gets from saying dumb shit like that.

Well it is overwhelming that everyone is picking Ohio State to mash.
Hey. If your team wins you can talk shit on everyone.
    (Please don't win!)
Hope you can enjoy the game.
Yeah, I mean it's really only former ND players/coaches/homers giving ND a chance, which is certainly fine.

You really wouldn't rather have OSU win, would you?

And thanks Brett! Leaving tomorrow morning!

    Have fun man.
I think OSU wins but want it to be a 0-0 tie after 68 overtimes.

As I said last week, I think ND wins, but the confidence in that took a big hit with those OL injuries in the semi, compounding the injuries they already have on defense.
I feel like it's a coaching mismatch in favor of Freeman by a fair margin. tOSU proved against Michigan once again that they have an uncanny ability to come up small in big games. I think it happens again. On paper they have more talent, especially in the passing game. But Day will F it up just like Sark F'ed it up against Day.

    ND 23, tOSU 20.

They kind of came up big in the last three games. One would almost argue the CFP is as important as Michigan in this era.

difference beteen Michigan game and the last three, to timid out of the gate against Michigan who had nothing to lose on a shit season so THEY came out swinging.

Bucketes seemed to be more aggresive since.

Just seems totally lost in the shuffle of NFL Playoffs at this point. Divisional round, in my opinion, is always the best weekend of football all year.

National Championship game shouldn't be the night after all that. Should be closer to New Year's. Maybe start the season a couple weeks earlier and have less time between end of season and the playoffs or something?

Should be on a higher pedestal than the night after arguable the NFL's most exciting weekend of the season.

don’t want to start any earlier. I’ve already been to early season games where the temps are in the 90’s….and that’s in Utah!

Yeah plus that's mid August, in many cases before school has even started.  That's why I say you could shorten the window from the conference championship games to round 1 by a week or so, but that's about it.  It was a pretty long season though.

counter, yes its a long season, the 10 days between games allows for more rest between and the travel.

    that stadium was packed.

    interested  to see ratings numbers.

after the steelers exit first round sometimes second (which is like clockwork) , I'm uninterested until the SB.

guess it comes down to being a fan of your respective teams or the league/sport in general.

and arguing against more football on a weekend seems a little insane to me, from a sports junkie like yourself.
