Bears got Bushrod w/ a long term deal!!! We finally have a fucking left tackle!! So long, J'Marcus.

I heard on the radio that he's getting paid only $1.3 million next year, for that price, I'm sure the bears will keep him as a backup...

i'd keep him as a back up

55 catchs last year....not much before that, but then he was in dallas behind a potential HOF TE

Plus this guy can actually block. Something Davis couldn't do.

Bummer about Urlacher. Had a feeling it was going to end this way but part of me hoped they could sign him for cheap and he'd play another year or two.
I wonder how much he was asking for?

There is no way he's pulling 5 from any team. What do you want to bet, he signs for as much as the Bears offered with another team?

Yeah, that's the word out there. 1 year, $2M. That's a fucking insult to Urlacher.

Unbelievable. Already lost Roach too this offseason. LB is going to be a big issue next season. Due to all the shitty drafting before Emery got here, there's no one waiting in the wings to jump into a starting spot.

I doubt it. Bears have been pretty adamant that he won't be playing LB. Plus, he looked pretty good at DE last year. Having to replace 2/3 of your LB core is not a good thing. We finally have most of the offensive pieces in place....I have a feeling this year will be the year where the D finally starts to let the team down.

i wasn't all that impressed with him a DE. if he has the speed....give a shot. otherwise, they have to draft a LB #1 overall...and based on early results, all indiciations are we will need to find someone a gf. :fp:

Well, what are the odds the Bears go after Mante Te'o if he's available? :fp:

Great replace an aging linebacker with an undersized, overrated one.

I'd be OK with it if they got him in the third round or so.

i have no desire to cheer for him after a big play.....i'd rather draft anouther chris williams.

Agreed. I can't imagine Te'o rushing and holding the line to stop a run. I saw some games when he was in college and it seemed that most of his big plays were just him being in the right place at the right time rather than him "creating" the play. I'm going to be pissed if they get him in the first two rounds for sure!

Nice move. Still need to draft a young LB early in the draft. The LB depth on our roster is not good at all.

Too bad he tore his knee up last season...he was in line for a nice contract from the Bears. Was probably our best offensive lineman last year. With the Bears line, that is like winning the tallest midget contest. But he still had a solid year.
