I pre-ordered fallout 4 a few days ago and then realized that my gpu was not up to par so i cancelled the order. what gpu are you all running the game on? I have a nvidia 9800 gt and don't have a ton of money to spend on a new one.
Still can't believe I met Mike Mccready at the Guggenheim and got a pic with him!!!!!

Fallout 4 arriving today ... Pipboy special edition! Spent an extra $60 for a piece of plastic that I will probably use for a grand total of 15 minutes for the rest of my life.

hahahahaha!
So, I'm a couple more hours in. Did some exploring last night and ran into a couple of tough spots. I was worried as everything seems so easy right away. Ran in to a couple of minor bugs (glitches, not radroaches ), but nothing too bad. I've found that I use the first person option for shooting a lot in this game. I still use VATs but not that often. First person sucked in the previous games, so I'm glad they made it more functional now. I have a semi-auto sniper rifle that I'm kicking ass with. Cleared out a building of like 30 raiders with that one gun like it was nothing!
There is an unlimited caps hack out there. I'd never do it, but it's posted on IGN for those of you that like that stuff.
I also just got the Playstation Gold wireless headset. The girl gets pissed when I'm blasting my games and she often goes to bed before me. Anyways, I read the reviews on them prior to ordering on Amazon. I gotta say, for $70-something...they are really nice headphones. I know there are better ones out there, but I didn't want to spend $300. If you're looking for some, I would recommend the Wireless Gold. Can't beat the price and the quality!

I used a cap glitch in New Vegas and regretted it.

Yeah, I've never been a fan of those glitches/cheats. Maybe after you beat it and have nothing else to do...but not the first time through.

What do people use for gaming headphones for PS4? Any suggestions/reviews?

I have the Sony expensive wireless headset. It is extremely comfortable and they sound great. However sometimes the signal drops in and out which is annoying

What is the name of that headset? I have done some basic research and Turtle Beach and A50 seem like crazy headsets, but super high end. Is the one you have the Sony Gold Headset?

I have a Tritton AXPro, I always liked them although construction was a little flimsy for the price. I'd get a Tritton set for next gen if I was in the market for a new headset.

I just recently picked up the Playstation Gold headset. Been impressed so far. Good quality for the price! Sound quality is good, good battery life, and they are comfortable. Wish I would have gotten them sooner.
Well, the initial adjustment from witcher 3 to Fallout is almost over. I still bring up my pipboy almost every time I mean to jump...
The game is pretty damn good.
Still, I don't like the dialogue at all. First of all, in past fallout games... you click the action to talk and it locks in and you know there is convo there. If they just mutter something you move on. Here, the guy just kind of sits there and suddenly you have some dialogue. I feel like I can easily miss a lot. Also the choices are pretty bad in they have too many choices, some are very similar, and they have to sum them all up in a few words.
Yeah, I hate when I try to talk to a guy and my character says something like "Hey Brad", and Brad just looks at me or walks off. Then I press the button again and he may or may not respond.
So over the last few days I've stayed away from the main quests/story. Just been exploring and doing random side quests. Got back to the story and completely forgot my character was looking for his kidnapped baby!
What's everyone's favorite gun so far? I'm maybe level 13, and my go-to is still this rusty sniper rifle. It doesn't have a heck of a lot of power, but it's great for picking people off from a distance (head shots!), then switching over if they get close. Also, as I mentioned before, in Fallout 4 I notice that I use the first person shooter waaaaaay more than I use VATs. Really the only time I use VATs is when there are multiple badguys and need to slow things down a bit, but other than that this game has become more of a FPS. Which isn't bad I guess...just not "Fallout-y".
Yeah, I picked it up at well. Really liking it so far. It does get a little repetitive, but I think with the expansion in a few months it will really open things up.

Just dove back into video games, Most recent console I've had is a ps2 and it's a decade gone. I keep a SNES and 64 connected to my big tv.
Got a ps4 with the Star Wars bundle. Was at a buddies house the other night and the graphics were just ridiculous on Battlefront. Also picked up Arkham Knights and Game of Thrones Telltale. That should get me by for a bit.
Any other game suggestions. I'm never really been into games that take a lot of fine tuning. Prolly like to add a sports game or 3 at some point. Shadows of Mordor looks cool as hell.
I just don't wanna have to spend hours fiddling with different attributes and settings just to play the game at a decent clip. I wanna just get down to playing and being able to advance in the game.
Wow, Witcher looks incredible. Crazy how far games have advanced since I've been somewhat familiar with a gaming system. The stuff they're putting in these games is pretty wild.

For some easy to get into sit down and have fun games (by "easy" I don't mean cakewalk...just easy to get into): Shadows of Mordor was a fun game. It's a bit repetitive, but easy to pick up and play. The Uncharted games are fun too! I think the first three can be downloaded from the store, and the 4th is coming out this year. Grand Theft Auto 5 is a good, easy game where can spend days and weeks playing and exploring. A few other games I'd recommend as they are awesome...just a bit more complex than those above...
Fallout 4 (can literally spend weeks and months playing...you get your money's worth with this one!) Metal Gear Phantom Pain (you want to see how games and graphics have evolved...check this one out!) Bloodborne (If you've never played the Souls games...Souls and Bloodborne are some of the toughest games to be made...and play... in the last decade. Really hard but incredibly rewarding!)
I haven't played Witcher 3, but have heard only good things.
