Listening to the Allman Brothers Band from Great Woods 06 right now. Sounds like summer.
I'm really game for anything this summer. Wherever it is, it's gonna be fun with all my PJ crazies. Nobody from my friends here except for youngster have any interest in doing this with me. youngster and I are just gonna roll through the festival like a bulldozer, just like Hartford last May. The nice thing about a destination festival is that it essentially precludes non-hard corps fans from attending. I know, I sound like a PJ elitist, but it's true. Most of my friends have seen Pearl Jam before, many multiple times, but they won't fork over the cheese to attend the PJ20 festival in middle America.
You realize they all have funny accents out there, right?
Yeah, not a fan of that. Every time I go out to the midwest, my cousins and their friends make fun of me and say stuff like "Hey Boston, say some funny shit for us." They just don't get it that it is I who speaks normal and they are the oddballs. Whatever, we'll have our New England contingency at this thing. Newch and twisted have nothing to worry about because everyone knows CT speak is plainer than vanilla ice cream. That's always blown my mind with the distinct accents of MA and NY so close, CT people have virtually no accent. Remarkable really.

Try telling that to my friend from PA or step-sister from Delaware. They claim we have accents. Damn Yankess  They're the one with the accents.

When I was in upstate NY this weekend, I swear I could hear people snickering when I had to use my BIG VOICE to direct Sailor to the correct obstacles on the complicated agility courses. It was a whole lot of me yelling...
do you guys really think this movie will hit the theaters? I mean, lots of B-movies don't make it to the theaters and I cant imagine that this would have the kind of pull that movie theater promoters are interested in. I wouldn't be surprised if it just went straight to DVD. Maybe we could just have a PJ20 movie viewing party in Newch's back yard since hopes for EVCT11 are dwindling. We could still bring beer, cake and brownies
Sounds good to me!
An alternative that would be VERY interesting would be seeing if Dissidentman would let us bring the DVD to his bar, watch it some night, and party on the beach! There's a great tiki bar outside on the sand... I'm thinking it wouldn't be hard to wire up a TV...
I support this 1000% I would do it up right for all my friends in this here place!

What are you worried about? We'll carry the bodies out to the beach and the tide will wash them ashore further south. It's Rhode Island, fer chrissake, bodies wash up all the time. Nobody will even blink.

Except we don't say New Britain like New BriTain; we say it like New Britain, where you can barely make out the T.

I just got an email saying you gotta have an analog membership to attend EVCT11 :( Ed requires the crowd to be people willing to spend the extra 20 bucks. And you have to wear your standard issue analog tshirt to get into the venue.
What, no opportunity to stand all the guys in the front row with E-V-C-T-1-1 painted on their bare chests?!?
:x
Thanks FF for the flac/mp3 clarification!
Not sure i'd join in the bare chest brigade....I'll be right next to you, though, with my analog membership and t shirt

I really like to this idea of luring Vedder to your town w/pics of your amazing theaters! More should emulate. He already came to Arlington theater around here. Make it happen people!

Try being from the south and travel outside of that region. It's like I escaped from the zoo or something.

Ummmm... ya kinda did. Kidding of course! I love the south!
As a matter of fact, I can see South Boston across the harbor from my house.

And then there will be the post-party fallout...
No one dies on my watch.
This is an excellent point.
We'll have to find some way to keep things mellow, i'll have to think about this more.
