They all got families and shit now...they could just as easily throw in the towel and call it a day, rather than listen to all their fans do nothing but bitch about what they do... but thats just my take on it.

I just renewed with digital, i'm happy with it. I got that deep mag and the turning mist vinyl last year, but i don't know what i'll ever do with it. I really only joined for the 10C seats, never thought i'd end up Talking to any of you people. Now i'm cool with people from Mass, who'd a thunk it?

No worries, FF. Sometimes those five kids wear me out so much that I'm overly reactive.
A few years back, I posted a Christmas card on a whiteboard in the staff room. All the nurses and docs put their cards there so everyone could see them. It was a very large emergency department in an urban trauma center.
One of my friends was eating her lunch and a couple of the new nurses came in. They were reading the cards and saw mine, and one of them said, "Look at this card _ it's signed (Unlost Dogs), (Mr. Unlost), Seamus, Sailor and Sweet Pea. I never knew (Unlost Dogs) had kids."
I wasn't sure what was worse... that these nurses thought I had three children that I never talked about, or that I would actually name my daughter Sweet Pea... I mean, even Sailor was a reach...

While originally I was a little miffed about a 100% price increase, I have since gotten over it. I mean, for $20 we got a magazine and a vinyl once a year. Now we get a $10 bootleg out of the goods section to download which you would ordinarily have to buy, and a T-shirt which you could say costs $10 which equals the $40. All I want to know is if my membership isn't up until July of 2012 and I don't renew in 2011, will I still get a single and Deep next year? I emailed 10c but I haven't heard anything back yet. Anyone know the answer?

I'm counting on you and/or Fenway to figure it out, and advise the rest of us. My membership is up in July 2011. I want the t-shirt for sure, and the vinyl just gets put into a drawer since I don't have a record player and I'm not planning on getting one.
My take on the membership is, I think, it's a great deal. I joined this club to get the vinyl, the magazine, to join the forum, and tickets were the LAST reason why I joined. You do get a deal out of the analog membership.

I'm going high-end with my membership renewal coming up in March, for the same reasons youngster explained above. I'm a t-shirt junkie and enjoy the vinyl and Deep. But the way I see it, even if the only benefit we're getting for $20 or $40 is the tickets, it's still worth it in my book. I mean, youngster and I were in like 19th row floor for Hartford last year. Is that experience worth the extra $20, rather than being up in the rafters for the same ticket price? I say yeah.
Also, what's going unsaid here is that there will probably be a members-only show or two coming up this summer for the 20th anny, so there's more incentive.

I'm guessing the tshirt will be a yearly thing. It would be nice to have one for Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter, but then I'd need to find some way of obtaining all 4. Also, I always love the little poster they provide for us in the back of the Deep mag. A few years ago, it was a pic of the band at Mansfield 08. I threw that baby into a cheap frame and it's awesome.
I do agree with that guy on the Porch who said if we're expected to pay $40 now, we better get our stuff on time, rather than 4 or 5 months later.

Everything else you get at the time of renewing your membership...so you get your stuff now or you get it in July..either way, same stuff. I think I'd wait until some of the questions are officially cleared up. Mines not up till September and I usually wait till last minute to do it. My main reason for waiting...again, this may change once some questions are answered, would be the bootleg code. Does it expire? If not, how long is it good for? Will there be other goodies in the bootleg section that will be available later in the year that are not there now (b/c pretty much everything in that section now is already a part of my collection)... Plus, i got sick of all the bitching and stopped digging for answers, but is it just an MP3 that they give you, or do you get the flac option too? Anybody know the answer to that one??
