His reflection on his life to that point and where to go from here. If I were a rock critic for say, Rolling Stone magazine, and they asked me to write a review for George's All Things Must Pass, I'd give it twelve stars.
I plan on getting the limited edition vinyl on Black Vinyl Friday tomorrow. George was my favorite Beatle and his solo work is just flawless to me. All Things Must Pass is unbelievable. It just goes to show that George hit his writing peak in about 1968 on the White Album and it never faltered. He who forgets will be destined to remember.

Here's a little story for ya: So youngster and I went up to the record store this morning to check out the stuff on Black Friday record store day. We get there about 15-20 minutes before they open up and we're about 5th or 6th in line. When the doors open, this woman muscles her way to the rack, basically pillaging the display, knocking shit over. We calmly walk up, do a Richard Seymour spin-move around this woman, and grab the only two copies of the new limited edition "All Things Must Pass" vinyl. The guy working there was dumbfounded at this woman's tactics. Good times.
There's a little Apple Records sticker on it which reads:
2 George Harrison LP's, Plus 1 Apple jam session, Mastered from the original analog tapes at Abbey Road studios, Uniquely numbered limited edition, Including full color poster, 180gram vinyl
Mine is #2444
Merry christmas to me!"FF, I've heard the droning about the Sawx being the baby dolls. Yeah, I get it, you guys invented baseball and suffered forever. I get it." -JearlPam09250 -
CNN is airing a special on December 4th (sometime in the evening like around 8) about the weeks leading up to the "loss of Lennon". I don't know if it is an original thing or if it is something you have seen before, but I saw it advertised yesterday and I thought I would mention it to you guys since I have recently learned you are big Beatles fans. Cheers!0

If you ask Fenway or youngster or Binaural, they'll tell you how big of a Beatles, in particular Lennon, fan I am.Shows: 6.27.08 Hartford, CT/5.15.10 Hartford, CT/6.18.2011 Hartford, CT (EV Solo)/10.19.13 Brooklyn/10.25.13 Hartford

Enjoy the vinyl. Good thing my dad has it so I can save myself some money on it.No he didn't hit her. She was about as big as Vince Wilfork so not so sure how that would have ended. It was crazy though. Still got the Harrison box set in the end so I am happy. Also got the Metallica live double 10", U2 Wide Awake in Europe, and the Jimi Hendrix Xmas EP.

Isn't it a pity, now, isn't it a shame
How we break each other's hearts, And cause each other pain
How we take each other's love, Without thinking anymore
Forgetting to give back, Isn't it a pity
Some things take so long, but how do I explain
When not too many people, can see we're all the same
And because of all their tears, their eyes can't hope to see
The beauty that surrounds them, Isn't it a pity
What a song.
Also, George's version of Dylan's "If Not For You" is so awesome. I really cannot get enough of this album."FF, I've heard the droning about the Sawx being the baby dolls. Yeah, I get it, you guys invented baseball and suffered forever. I get it." -JearlPam09250 -

I have a feeling at the tailgating for the next PJ or EV show in CT, we won't be listening to Pearl Jam; we'll be listening to The Beatles along with Lennon and Harrison solo.Shows: 6.27.08 Hartford, CT/5.15.10 Hartford, CT/6.18.2011 Hartford, CT (EV Solo)/10.19.13 Brooklyn/10.25.13 Hartford

Personally, I never listen to the band I am about to see in concert the day of the show. So if I am in town to see PJ or EV, I can't think of better music to listen to than the Beatles. Or John, Paul, George or Ringo for that matter. Anything they were a part of were gold. Couldn't agree with you more, Newch! He who forgets will be destined to remember.

Growing up on the Beatles, going to the Cavern as a student (it's been moved across the street but looks exactly the same), and knowing my mom (from Liverpool) actually hung out with them and bought them fish and chips when they were broke...nothing is better than knowing my two boys (8 and 6) LOVE their music and know virtually every song including their solo stuff. My mom still has the original vinyls of most of the Beatles stuff, including the White Album and the Penny Lane/Strawberry Fields single...her fav was John as she said he had an amazing sense of humor...my fav is george as I just find his music so beyond words. My two favorite B sides are Strawberry Fields and Yellow Ledbetter!!!!0 -

John is also my favorite for so many reasons, one being his humor and wit. George is second because of the great music he made and because he is one of the greatest musicians, ever.
I thought Strawberry Fields Forever was a double-A side? I could be wrong. I love what George Martin said about that song and Penny Lane: "My biggest mistake in my career was not putting 'Strawberry Fields Forever' and 'Penny Lane' on Sgt. Pepper." And Yellow Ledbetter is one of my favorites also.Shows: 6.27.08 Hartford, CT/5.15.10 Hartford, CT/6.18.2011 Hartford, CT (EV Solo)/10.19.13 Brooklyn/10.25.13 Hartford

You could be right about Strawberry Fields...I used to play the single so much I just assumed it was the B side...I was about 6 when I started playing it all on my cheap "record player'...goodness knows what state they are all in...makes me cringe now :oops:0
