So... let me get the logic here...
Obama said 'Change'... and things HAVEN'T Changed... so, things are the same... as when Bush was in office...
I would think you'd be happy with this.
ohhh change is coming you can bet on that and I have a feeling nobody will like it.
and happy...it is what it is and at most I will have to tolerate nobama for one more term (but I doubt it).

going with my gut on this one.
nobama will not do a second term if i am wrong you can say I told you so..his popularity keeps slipping.
and I think we are headed for a huge tax increase, what makes you think he is different from any other president that said "i will not raise your taxes one dime"..remember this one "read my lips no new taxes"?
to tell you the TRUTH if he makes good on just half the promises(bullshit) he spewed out I would vote for him next election, I wish/hope he dose what he said would do, I think he got the job and found it was not as ez to do all the things he said he would like stop the war but I don't blame him for that it's out of his control or he got a quick lesson on what the middle east and Muslim really think about the US, just my opinion though.
you get angry ez don't you GIMMESOMETRUTH27 you shouldn't let this stuff bother you, a person on this forum was reading my banter on the Train and and knew better so he sent me a PM and explained why I was wrong and he was very civil about it he took the time to explain why, now I have huge respect for him and I learned something, I can tell your a fairly intelligent person but trying to convince me with your opinion is (no offense) meaningless to me, I am always willing to learn cause life is just to short not to.

I get the feeling that most people don't care for Obama. We have a street where I live and there's a NoBama sign on every pole for miles.
On a more personal note, the thing that bothers me the most with this administration is all the spending and all the people that buy into the "we're mopping up the mess we inherited" rant. You don't fix a deficit by spending and printing more money....common sense. And it's obvious it hasen't accomplished much. As far as The new health care system. Whats done is done, I'm going to wait and see how things work out before I start barking. So far my premiums have only gone up 10 dollars....no biggie I guess if that's all it will take to help some un-insured. But, my personal belief is that taxes will have a major hikein the near future. Probably after Obamas term....go figure. UUUGGHHH!
Now that I sit back and read my post I see it has nothing to do with the topic at hand...oopps, sorry.0 -

They should re-ask the question like this:
Are you willing to have your taxes increased to pay for increased border security?
Y/N
Would I be willing for an increase? yes. Although I don't understand why it would be an increase to move them from Iraq to the U.S border. Wouldn't they just take the taxes that are going to Iraq and move them to U.S. border control? I don't see how that could cost more. :?Post edited by OnTheEdge on0 -
so what?
I heard on NPR that 18% of (dipshit) Americans agree that BP deserves an apology.
just because you have an opinion doesn't mean you're right.
edit: and guess what? the poll was pulled! now THAT'S conviction! :roll:0 -

But... won't they still be deployed? Or are they going to be stationed there with no pay?
I think things would be cheaper having them in the US over somewhere across the planet.I love it when someone answers one of Cosmos questions with plain ol common sense and then he comes back and says " yes, but you didn't answer my question". :? .........again!

Yeah, he should start another war or something and make people too scared to vote him out.Godfather. wrote:and I think we are headed for a huge tax increase, what makes you think he is different from any other president that said "i will not raise your taxes one dime"..remember this one "read my lips no new taxes"?

Really? How about if you list the promises you're referring to and then when he's up for re-election we can count up how many of them he's made good on and you can put your money where your mouth is (or your vote where your fingers are, or something). What do you say?Godfather. wrote:I wish/hope he dose what he said would do, I think he got the job and found it was not as ez to do all the things he said he would like stop the war but I don't blame him for that it's out of his control or he got a quick lesson on what the middle east and Muslim really think about the US, just my opinion though.

So if we explain why you're wrong via PM instead of in the open forum, you'll respect us and learn something? 'Cuz I'll be more than happy to explain all kinds of ways why you're wrong via PM.0 -

hell nooo ! bp and the regulation standard laws and rules need a swift kick in the ass, there should have Been alternative plans in place to correct that issue as soon as it happened, with the amount of money in that business there surely should be plans for safety and environmental standards.

What exactly has to happen before you people admit how bad things are (and will be)?
Do you have a terminal illness?? Are you speaking from experience?? If not, I think your flippant use of such experiences as some kind of sensationalist support of your own agenda is downright offensive and trivializes the experiences of the people who have died or lost loved ones to illness that wasn't treated under the old system.
Speaking of sensationalism, spare me the shaming tactics. I'm tired of it.Bristow, VA (5/13/10)0 -
