Like this poll from MSNBC:Poll: Just 39% believe in evolution
From NBC's Mark Murray
Today it's not only Abraham Lincoln's birthday; it's also Charles Darwin's.
And a brand-new Gallup poll tied to Darwin's birthday finds that just 39% of Americans believe in evolution.
As expected, Gallup notes, education plays a big role here: 74% of those with post-graduate degrees believe in evolution. That's compared with only 21% of high school grads (or those with less education) who believe in the theory.
Ditto religion: 55% who don't attend church believe in evolution, versus 24% of weekly churchgoers who believe in it.
Even if the majority believe something (creationism) it doesn't make it right... and well the majority of readers of MSNBC... well MSNBC is not like the Harvard review..."The good thing about science is that it's true whether or not you believe in it"

Or... how about this...
A fairly sure way to end illegal immigration is to exclude them from every aspect of our society. Exclude them from working here, from banking here, buying stuff, etc...
Couple that with making it easy to identify them... specifically, for law enforcement to identify them.
Everyone agree? Good.
...
Now... since we cannot identify them now... how are we going to tag them for identification?
That cannot be done.
BUT... we CAN tag the people who ARE citizens. The ones who are tagged can apply for work, cash their checks, purchase goods and services, buy or rent homes... participate in the American Dream.
Think of it like this... it is impossible to tag all the stray cats and dogs, right? But, we can easily tag our pet cats and dogs. Better yet... implant them with a microchip so they can easily be identified.
Same principle... Only Americans get the microchips. That chip allows us to participate in America.. to be American. A quick scan at the bank and you can open an account there or that loan application can be filled out... and you are authorized to buy that crap from Wal-Mart and you are okay to ride the subway or the bus.
Those here illegally... no scan, no welcome... Vamanos, asshole!!! When we get pulled over for speeding... the cop scans us and issues the traffic ticket and sends us on our merry way. No scan... they get the Rodney King treatment.
And to punish those bleeding heart libs that would help them... make helping or transporting them as illegal as trafficing heroin or harboring a terrorist.
...
Then... run a bullshit poll and ask the American people:
Would you be willing to have a microchip implanted in you to positively identify you as an Ameican Citizen if it would ensure the illegal immigant problem would vanish?
Yes/No?
...

You carry your passport everywhere you go?
Because, you know... Drivers Licenses can be easily forged and they do not prove citizenship.

What's interesting is that none of the other polls have over 100,000 participants- and this AZ one has over 2 million. Most of them have about 10,000-50,000 participants . I don't even think MSNBC has 2 million viewers period ..... Strange if you ask me...... Also, some of the comments left by readers, are the types of comments you see on Fox blogs - like childish name calling ......and mainly attacks on Obama...
I listen to conservative radio every day and there are times when the host asks his listeners to take action against certain people or establishments..... and you know how the hard right can be loud and agressive.....it wouldn't surprise me if this is the case....
.....Not even a fox poll would be that lopsided ......
The conservative/right wing movement must be at play here....0 -

Well count me in the 4% then.
I'm of the opinion that we should just allow anyone to become a citizen who wants to with little more than providing personal info and signing a document saying they want to join the club. The only people we should try to get even with...
...are those who've helped us.

I don't understand comments like this- who is "the people" and why are they tired of this administration? And how are they destroying your way of life? .... Sounds like something I would hear on the fox.... It's confusing :?
I don't even know why I wrote this comment... I probably wont get a response.....0 -

Hey, good point. I'll try to keep that in mind when I'm dying of a terminal illness which most likely could have been handled by our present health care system.
What exactly has to happen before you people admit how bad things are (and will be)?Bristow, VA (5/13/10)0 -

So... let me get the logic here...
Obama said 'Change'... and things HAVEN'T Changed... so, things are the same... as when Bush was in office...

Do you have a terminal illness?? Are you speaking from experience?? If not, I think your flippant use of such experiences as some kind of sensationalist support of your own agenda is downright offensive and trivializes the experiences of the people who have died or lost loved ones to illness that wasn't treated under the old system.0 -
