my 29th show and this crowd was by far the best yet, as far as throwing hands up and shit like that (minus some of the people around me). Section8 rowE. My friend's 199,XXX seats. :)
Best song's for me were 'Breakerfall' and 'I Believe In Miracles'

    HI

Ten club member shut out at MSG and couldn't go the Newark night. I'm willing to come into the city alone if there's a chance of getting a ticket. Did anyone notice any scaplers there? If so what were they asking?

    Thanks Guys

    how'd you see the setlist?

If you're on the floor near the soundboard and light people behind them, several lists wind up floating around there - the lighting person actually has it on a music stand. It is really hard not to look at it - I saw the first few songs and then walked away because that ruins the fun.

Was in 219, row A (slightly towards rear on Stone's side...basically behind Boom). Great seats for my not so great 430 number. Good crowd around me for the most part. Loved the setlist, even if it was kind of weird at times.
The highlight of my night was hearing Breakerfall and knowing that BD's 9 yr old was across the venue freaking out.... :D
    And FREAK he did
    Section 106, VERY HAPPY!!!
Awesome people around me who gave the Colemeiser props for his 3rd show...
I HAD THE BEST TIME... Obviously Breakerfall for him was amazing as was pretty much everything

Had the best time at the preparty meeting up with a bunch of folks who are alot better in person

Hi Black Diamond, I met you in Hartford when you were checking into the hotel with your 7 YO. I saw his San Diego 9 shirt and said to him "this isn't your first show is it?" Adorable little guy held up two fingers for "second."

Glad you had a good time last night!
  • Great, electric show!!! Crowd was amazing! Side stage seats were so cool. Setlist was great, was able to finish Vs. when they played Leash. Cannot wait to see how my tour ends up tonight!

    Love. Love. Love.

That was an INCREDIBLE show! The ENERGY was electric!

Pearl Jam + MSG + New York Fans = AWESOME

Being a native Chicagoan, experiencing mainly Midwest shows, the garden last night was one of the highest
crowd energy experienced - with the exception of Alpine Valley! Truly a blissful experience.

Wasn't able to get ten club seats though it didn't matter. Just being in the vibe was rocking' solace!

Sorry Chicago fans you have a thing or two to learn about being truly alive! There was so much appreciation and connection flown' it was outstanding.

Wish I was goin' to Friday's show - have a feelin' this will be even more magical!

Thank you Pearl Jam and thank you New York!

Wow great show. Setlist was great and the guys were really on, think the crowd really helped after disappointing crowd in Newark. This was right up with the Hartford gig. Kudos to the 2 girls next to me who rocked out the whole show, made the night so much better with fans into it as much as you are.

Can't wait for tonite, I'm sure the tank will be emptied.

I think I was sitting next to you - Section 234 - in any case the show was amazing, the crowd was so into it - especially compared to Newark - I loved the setlist and the boys rocked as usual. It was my 15th show - this one was right up there with MSG '03 & '08. Hoping to get my hands on some tickets for tonight!

Yeah a couple times Ed went back there while smoking, first time he tried to get the people in the back to cheer for Matt during Evenflow, another time fans tossed a few caps and he put them on and either threw them back or put them to the side.

I was shut out of fanclub tickets, but still a great show. I'm not sure what folks mean about Ed's voice or the sound - it was all good from Section 303, which is the worst seat I've had a PJ show in a very long time. The crowd didn't seem as loud to me as either of the MSG08 shows. The floor was definitely rocking out (especially compared to Newark). Kind of a strange crowd - half the people nearby were intensely into the show and singing along, and then others were sitting a lot and I noticed many people leaving out early too?! The couple next to me left in the middle of Porch?

Highlights for me were the opening run of Breakerfall-Last Exit-Animal-The Fixer, the Insignificance-Unthought Known-DTE combo, and that closing run from Love Reign-State-Once-Porch-Jeremy-Leash... just really good momentum in those portions of the show to me.

The energy level of the band is amazing though - nobody stops moving.

Now on to tonight, with TenClub seats - I know tonight I'll be doing my part to make the Garden shake!

I knew it was going to be a crazy day when the first thing I saw in the morning was a squirrel dragging a peanut butter jar up into a tree. I mean damn, if that squirrel could score a jar of Skippy then surely I could hook up a ticket for MSG1. I got shut out of the 10c pre-sale and couldn't do the TM pre-sale so I was pretty much out of luck. I decided to troll the forum here yesterday to see if there were any singles. Ended up chatting with Amy who agree to sell me her spare 10c ticket - face value of course. I told her at the time, "I think we're gonna win the lottery." I don't know why I said it - I just did.

She won the damn lottery. 10th row, center. Unbelievable show. I thought the set list, energy, band and crowd were great. It was a religious experience for me. I gotta say, I teared up on "Low Light" and during the dedications too. Wow.

I hung out with some touring fans after the show. The reaction from most seemed to be "meh" and were either complaining about their lousy 10c seats or low energy. I think its just one of those things that happens when you start following a band from city to city in the fan club. There's a kind of perspective that's lost. You get used to having great, cheap seats so when they're not available in a megalopolis, you're disappointed. When you've heard that same song ten nights in a row but have never heard your favorite rarity, you're disappointed. In a way you get spoiled because you're lucky enough to see so many shows.

It's an odd thing, can you love a band too much? It happened to me when I ended up running band website for some guys I idolized. After 20 or so shows, some of the magic started to fade a bit. Some songs didn't mean as much and I couldn't understand how people could say X show was amazing when it was mediocre at best. But if you're lucky, you'll end up getting reset at a show that really connect with you. Sounds like for a lot of them it was Boston.

For me, MSG 1 is a musical highlight. I've only seen 3 Pearl Jam shows ever and each one had its moments, but this show - on the floor with a ticket I didn't have that morning, in an amazing seat from a woman I had never met before she showed up holding a lotto envelope. Magical.

    Thanks guys. Thanks 10c.

My 16th show and it was a great one. 10C seats sec 8 row E on the aisle between ed and stone. Not too shabby, but the girl in front of me was 4 feet tall so security let her stand on her chair all night making her 7 feet tall, not cool. I'm tall enought that i managed, but the girl behind me was shit out of luck. That's my only negative to a great show.

I don't care what anyone says that is a great setlist, i didn't get to cross any songs off my list, but that's fine with me. the hits are the hits and will always be my favorites as well. tonight we will get some rarities, i just hope my legs and voice hold out.

Outstanding show as usual. I thought the main set was stellar - and I got to see some first timers (I Got Shit, Low Light, Breakerfall) - but the encores f'n blew me away. They were so locked in during that run of Love Reign O’er Me, State Of Love And Trust, Once, Porch, Jeremy, Leash, Mankind, Crazy Mary, I Believe In Miracles and Alive - just ridiculous. I've seen tons of bands live, but no one comes close to the energy, sound, varied setlist and overall show these guys put on. Top notch. Can't wait for them to try and top it tonight.
