Tonight was insane. I just got home. Unbelievable show, far and away the best concert I have ever been to.....EVER!!!!! Not just Pearl Jam. Setlist was out of this world, energy of the band was un-parralelled. Mike was running around all night, Stone was headbanging to a lot of the songs. Just perfect in every way. I think if you combine the 2 MSG shows later this week it still won't top this. What else can I say.....Oh yeah, we got Pearl Jam/Red Sox themed shirts tonight. Pearl Jam on the front written in Red Sox script on a blue shirt. On the back it has Boston where the players name would be with a 17 as the number. Below that there is a pair of shoes in place of "red sox" with PJ written on the side.

This show will be next to impossible to top.
He who forgets will be destined to remember.

OH MY GOD. Amazing. I won the lottery and was second row right in front of Mike. He was going nuts all night. Great, great energy from the band, feeding off of the crazy crowd. Easily the best concert I've ever been to.

SO, SO GOOD. Thank you, Pearl Jam!

I went to Cleveland, Buffalo and Hartford and I' m not going to say this or that but wow this show looked like it was killer. First time I listened to Lost Dogs I was blown away by Sad and Fatal. Got to see Fatal in Buffalo and would of been cool to see Sad played. But no.... wife had to work and could not go on to Boston. Anyway this has been a great week!

    Uhhhhhh ... wow. I'm flabbergasted.

I mean really. Look at that set list. That was the rarest of rarity shows I've been to - I think Ed said something about the crowd making it easy for them to experiment a bit, or something along those lines - but they still managed to play more well-known songs that got the less hardcore, but still big PJ fans into the show. They mixed it up quite well. I brought a good friend who's never seen them before and at first, she noted the sparse stage (we last saw Muse together - quite a contrast), but by the end of the show, she said it was the best concert she's ever seen. "That was the most purist concert ever. It wasn't a show. It was a *rock concert*," she said.

    I couldn't agree more.

51st show tonite. Arguably, one of the top 5.... just sayin.

  • whoooooooooooo Public Thank You to Lauri for selling me the best seats I've ever had to any concert.

I'm a big Yield fan, so Pilate, Push Me Pull Me, Given to Fly was terrific. I was anticipating a more pronounced nod to Dio, but the Alive riff was great. Smile was moving, RVM was a trip.

Should be mentioned that Ed came out for the last song of BOH. Read other fanviews, didn't see it mentioned.

Yes, poster was sick. Bear wearing a Native American headdress at a tea party.'nuff said. (hehe TD Banknorth Arena. great branding, corporate America)

WOW...really all I can think of to say. The band was on and fed off the energy in the crowd. The crowd was pumped and into it, and the Release/Animal combo to open the show set the tone for the whole night. The setlist was awesome, I finally got to hear Red Mosquito :) Pretty cool that either the band keeps track of the board or at least they get some level of update on it, since they played Crown of Thorns and mentioned that it had never been played in Boston, and they played and dedicated Smile. I was a little bit sorry that I made the trip up for just the one show since I was hoping there would be two nights in Boston, but this show was well worth the trip. Hope they left something for the rest of the week!

Incredible, that's all I can say. The Harp before the show was fun too. I took plenty of video before security stopped me during Love Reign. Keep an eye out for youtube and any videos by trebmal007.

I've been to 17 shows and this was the best. I am still at a loss for words about what I just witnessed.

I don't know how they do it but everytime I see these guys they get better and better and better. They just sounded awesome and the setlist was killer. Now I will have to go and dish out more cash for more boots.
I'll ride the wave where it takes me.

wow my little bro is thomasgparisi. he had no idea that people were following the setlist on his twitter. he'll be stoked he was able to help out the folks who werent able to be at the show. we just kept track on his twitter so we would know what they played at the bar afterwards. awesome. great show by the way, prob top 3 for me out of about 20. more tomorrow.

also not sure if it was because of my request but i have a friend who knows Boom and i told her to tell Boom that Crown of Thorns was never played in Boston and to request it for me when she was backstage at Hartford on Saturday... Just sayin...

In a word... well, sh*t, how can you sum up this performance in a word?
    I'll try anyway.

    Transcendent. From Merriam Webster's Dictionary:
    Main Entry: tran·scen·dent
    Pronunciation: \-dənt\
    Function: adjective
Etymology: Middle English, from Latin transcendent-, transcendens, present participle of transcendere
    Date: 15th century

1 a : exceeding usual limits : surpassing b : extending or lying beyond the limits of ordinary experience c in Kantian philosophy : being beyond the limits of all possible experience and knowledge
    2 : being beyond comprehension
3 : transcending the universe or material existence — compare immanent 2
    4 : universally applicable or significant <the antislavery movement…recognized the transcendent importance of liberty — L. H. Tribe>

    There. I said it.

I honestly can't believe they played "Push Me, Pull Me".

An earlier poster mentioned Tedy Bruschi. I approached him after the show, and said, "Mr. Bruschi, if Pearl Jam was a football team, they would give you 60 minutes every Sunday."

    His response?

    I quote:"Yes they would...yes they would...yes they would."

    Thank you, Pearl Jam.
