I don't remember the rules. But why did Vlad go first in the final round when he just went? Arozarena got extra rest. Didn't hurt though as he won.

Home Run hitting contest tonight. One of the more exciting all star game activities in all of sports.
unfortunately, most all star activities are getting kind of old. rutschman switch hitting and julio’s first round were great. other than that, it was kind of meh (to me).

at least they got rid of berman.

maybe they should award bonus points for opposite field HR’s?

    Seeding was dumb.

Missed opportunity showcasing Adley better and putting up Alonso and Julio in the first round was awful.

Petes pitcher sucked too.  Dear lord it's the HR derby.  Inside pitches to pull not low and away...

Pete picked his pitcher and went with the third different guy to throw to him in these.  Trying to spread around the honor,  I thought that was cool when I read that.

As much as he wants to win this thing, at least pick someone who can toss the damn ball in the right spot...

Pete’s pitcher doomed him. Julio’s was perfect in the first round. I had never even heard of Robert Jr. or the ranger. then again, they play in the junior circuit.

    where was mike stanton?

That Sox team has a whole bunch of talent and Larussa couldn't do shit with hem.

Robert is a beast.  When healthy you'll be hearing a lot more of him.

So in every allstar game that's been played in the MLB and NBA we complain about the jerseys.

Who the hell is actually buying these?  They are hideous.

Yeah they gotta go back to the old way with the unis, just put a patch on it. I can even live with like a different hat or something.

Also looking forward to the day - now that the leagues are meaningless - where they'll do a sandlot-style draft for the game.
