Meadows, Mohegan Sun, The BUSHNELL?!?
For some reason I'd think they're more likely to play any of those places over the XL Center, but that would be cool too...I'd prefer the XL over Mohegan in a heartbeat for a number of reasons though.
I'd like to see them in an arena. So far, Ive seen them in an open air outdoor venue (Holyoke, MA), a small amphitheater (if that is what you would consider Bank of America Pavillion in Boston) and a small indoor theater (State Theater, Portland, ME). I'd rather drive the extra mile to the XL over short drive to Mohegan though.
Just the thought of them coming to the XL is making meMansfield, MA - Jul 02, 2003; Mansfield, MA - Jul 03, 2003; Mansfield, MA - Jul 11, 2003; Boston, MA - Sep 29, 2004; Reading, PA - Oct 01, 2004; Hartford, CT - May 13, 2006; Boston, MA - May 24, 2006; Boston, MA - May 25, 2006; Hartford, CT - Jun 27, 2008; Mansfield, MA - Jun 28, 2008; Mansfield, MA - June 30, 2008; Hartford, CT - May 15, 2010; Boston, MA - May 17, 2010; [EV - Providence, RI - June 15, 2011; EV - Hartford, CT - June 18, 2011]; Worcester, MA - Oct. 15, 2013; Worcester, MA - Oct. 16, 2013; Hartford, CT - Oct. 25, 2013; Boston, MA - August 5, 2016; Boston, MA - August 7, 2016...0 -

I saw MMJ open for Petty two summers ago at Great Woods. It was awesome and I think arenas/big amphitheaters are in the future for these guys, but I wouldn't be disappointed one bit if it wasn't. They don't need to play big places. That being said, MSG tonite is gonna kick so much ass."FF, I've heard the droning about the Sawx being the baby dolls. Wish I could help YB. Im sure you can find someone near the venue looking for a ticket...Ive gotten rid of plenty of spares near the venue, before shows (even if you have to sell it to a scalper, last resort, at least you can get your $$ back). You could also try posting a Craigslist ad maybe if no one on the MMJ boards wants it...Mansfield, MA - Jul 02, 2003; Mansfield, MA - Jul 03, 2003; Mansfield, MA - Jul 11, 2003; Boston, MA - Sep 29, 2004; Reading, PA - Oct 01, 2004; Hartford, CT - May 13, 2006; Boston, MA - May 24, 2006; Boston, MA - May 25, 2006; Hartford, CT - Jun 27, 2008; Mansfield, MA - Jun 28, 2008; Mansfield, MA - June 30, 2008; Hartford, CT - May 15, 2010; Boston, MA - May 17, 2010; [EV - Providence, RI - June 15, 2011; EV - Hartford, CT - June 18, 2011]; Worcester, MA - Oct. 15, 2013; Worcester, MA - Oct. 16, 2013; Hartford, CT - Oct. 25, 2013; Boston, MA - August 5, 2016; Boston, MA - August 7, 2016...0

I'm sure you can get rid of a GA ticket over on MMJ's forum pretty quickly. Or go over to Stout, as that is where people from that forum are meeting pre-show."McCready played on, lending credence to the theory that he was actually built in Stone’s basement from spare truck parts and vinyl records." - Glide Mag. review of MSG 7/8/030 -
Gutted that I cannot be there tonight. If I wasn't 5+ hours away, I'd be there in a heartbeat, YB.
Have a great time everyone. No doubt that they'll blow the roof off that place.0 -
absolutely wish I still lived in the tri-state. I would be there right now. I'm sure it will be epic.
the more I spin the albums, the more I appreciate this band. even the new song "friends again" released yesterday is awesome.
enjoy all of you attending0 -
... and the will to show I will always be better than before.0

^^^That is a terribly generic set list. I had been a bit bummed that I wasn't able to make it down to NYC for the show tonight, but I'm not any longer. I mean, you'd think for an end of the tour show at MSG, they'd pull out some old gems, and better surprises than another motown cover and a Christmas song. I dunno, I wasn't there, so maybe it was fun show, but I'm glad I didn't bother with the hassle of getting there and back for that, though it would've been nice to see some friends for a few hours.0

it was pretty awesome...lots of great intro jams, lots of energy from the band, great A/C in the venue
def a memorable 13th show for me
i will agree i didnt think they'd play so much circuital as they did in greensboro but then again its NY and they were playing to the area (thinking most ppl only kno the new stuff which most did - so they were right)2005: Borgata 2, Philly

I was gonna say maybe i'm just jaded, but I've seen them 14 times which is only one more than you, so I guess can't use that argument. They always put on a great show, but I personally think their set lists have gotten too predictable over the past few tours. I was at their last MSG show, which was really special... granted that was NYE, but this should have been more interesting. But If you had a great time, then fuck whatever I said!

Couldn't have said it any better Mr. Olav.
Not much love for At Dawn or Tenn. Fire in that setlist.
Bermuda Highway looks like the highlight to me.
They need to start switching it up. They proved they can play all the songs in their catalog at T5, so dammit start doing it already!!

I really think we're all just spoiled by the diversity of PJ's sets. These guys are still rocking the shit out of everywhere they playWe were but stones your light made us stars0
-
Right. And they're promoting an album this year. Next year's sets will be much more diverse and full of surprises. We see this with Pearl Jam too (to a certain extent) where album promotion years are mostly standard setlists. I point to Hartford 08 for Pearl Jam and Mountain Park 10 for MMJ as non-album touring year shows where the set was all-encompassing.
I'm glad that T5 box set hasnt come out yet. Gives me time to gather enough funds to pay for it."FF, I've heard the droning about the Sawx being the baby dolls. Yeah, I get it, you guys invented baseball and suffered forever. I get it." -JearlPam09250
