I think I am going to have to unload some stuff in the Lost Dogs area to justify going to 3 more concerts this year :?

Why cant MMJ just not tour that much like PJ?

I am hoping their is a good deal on the 3 night package (and that I'm able to get one :D).

Btw I went to the reopening of the Capital Theatre last week (Bob Dylan) and the venue is fantastic. I was 4th person off the rail that night. Had to get to the venue at 6 for that. I would assume I would get to the MMJ shows by like 730 because of work, so I bet Id be 10 people off the rail, which honestly is just as good as 4 people off the rail. Especially when youre 6'3'' 8-).

15 minutes from my job :D

It took me 35 minutes to get there from NYC last week (no traffic)

I just know holiday plans are going to screw me over- the week between Christmas and New Years is always a very busy time for me

Somebody on the MMJ board called Agganis and they told them that it will be all seating, but some others seem to think that won't be the case. I guess we'll know more tomorrow.

I'm a little concerned that all 4 shows are being put up at once. Hopefully Roll Call will run smooth and we all get great seats. Now just to decide who comes with me. Wife enjoys a bit of MMJ, but was not crazy when I told her about NYE show. I guess we'll have time to decide!

Im guessing it wont be too bad if your only going for one of the shows... but having to go back in multiple times if you want to do multiple shows may be a little harder. Hopefully the 3 night NYC run will take some pressure off the NYE show. :D

So, now the question... To Floor, or Not To Floor
If there are seats, I may not mind being down there... and Im sure you'll get an option when going in to purchase tix. I've never been to Agganis before. College campus... will they sell alcohol? :? May have to get sneaky w/ the nips ;)

I never had trouble getting tix to an MMJ show. I'm thinking the Port Chester shows will be gone quickly though. Boston NYE should be fine.

Yea, they sell alcohol. If you've ever been to the Tsongas Arena in Lowell, it's very similar. Seats about 7,500. It's not one of my favorite places to see a show, but it's really the only venue in Boston between 3,000 seats (Orpheum, House of Blues) and 20,000 seats (Td Garden), so it makes sense.

BTW, does anyone know how long it takes for a Roll Call membership to activate? I've been dragging my feet and just signed up now because I didn't see the notice that "you must be a member by xx/xx/xx to purchase tickets to this show" like Pearl Jam does, but now with only 45 minutes left before the on sale I might have waited too long... :?

    Thanks!
RC Presale is TOMORROW and im pretty sure once your in, your in and they dont require u to be a member before the announcement in order to get your tix. At least thats how it was last time around...

    Edit:
When going in to get tix... whats the difference between "Roll Call VIP" and just "Tickets"?
    http://www.mymorningjacket.com/events/page/2

I havent gotten tix thru them since Boston 2011 and we had to go thru artist arena which had a separate account. Now w/ the new Roll Call site, is it different than that?

  • Yea, they sell alcohol.

Wow you're right. I totally thought today was Wednesday. Thanks for the heads up. As for the ticket buttons, I'm not entirely certain, but I believe Roll Call VIP is the fan club tickets, and the tickets button will link you to the general public ticket sale.

I dont think this is right. The tickets link will bring you to regular tix- just earlier than when non fan club members will be able to buy. VIP is an extra $40 on top of regular admission price and gets you this:

    VIP Soundcheck Package
Access to the band's private soundcheck performance the afternoon of show (3 - 4 songs)
One local limited silkscreen poster from that show
A commemorative sticky pass allowing access to the event
YOU WILL NEED TO BUY A TICKET TO ATTEND THE CONCERT AND TO ATTEND THIS VIP EVENT. TICKETS ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THIS PACKAGE.

ALL SALES FINAL. Please review our ticketing policy HERE.

The email they sent out did indicate ticket packages being available for PC, but it may be only roll call specific.

Agganis isn't too bad. Saw KOL back in 2009 there. Just a normal basketball/hockey arena. Seats 7200 and however many more with floor seats.

I would assume that MMJ will not cater to any curfew, being a NYE show?

I'm in the Roll Call and the 3 dates are listed separately, but no button for a package. I hope it shows up by tomorrow.
