    OMFG is all I can say about Portland
    3hr show was f'n amazing!!!
    Noticed the Sax on the stage about 3 songs in...knew Dondante would be comin
    Stayed at the same hotel as the band...took an elevator ride w/ Carl, Tom & Bo after the show... later chilled in the bar w/ the band & bought Jim a drink!!! Totally worth every penny!!! OTOTO!!!!!
    Still high from Friday night...I wont be getting much work done today, thats for sure....

    Wishing I were off to Tennessee Fire tonight....it will be amazing!!! They were on fire on Friday...preparing for that show... for all of you going to NYC...check this out...got the email this morning from MMJ:
    During next week's historic run at New York's Terminal 5, My Morning Jacket will conduct a raffle for two original photos to benefit New Orleans's Gulf Restoration Network (http://www.healthygulf.org) and Sweet Home New Orleans (http://www.sweethomeneworleans.org ). The photographs feature a shot of the band at Preservation Hall, taken by Danny Clinch, and a live photo from the filming of My Morning Jacket's "Okonokos", by Sam Erickson. Raffle tickets can be purchased at the shows for $5/ticket, or a book of 5 tickets for $20. The drawing will be held after the final show on Saturday, October 23rd.
    My Morning Jacket will be selling limited edition picture discs of It Still Moves, Z, and Evil Urges on each album's night. In addition, At Dawn and The Tennessee Fire have been repressed on vinyl for sale at the shows.

    TT......that is awesome. I read on the MMJ board that a bunch of fans were able to hang out with them after the show. Also, someone saw Bo at Starbucks and they talked about T5, and Bo told him that the band planned on no repeats for the entire week.

    Should be one helluva week. To all those going, ENJOY!

    I got an email from MMJ saying that they were going to have new picture vinyl records for the albums: It Still Moves, Z, and Evil Urges with new pressings of the others. I bummed that I can't go to any of the T5 shows (but I did see them in Philly in August), so what do you think the odds are that some of those vinyl records will end up on their website for sale at some point and hopefully, not just on ebay? Can someone that goes take a picture of them and post them up here for the rest of us to see? that'd be great, and if you are going have a GReat time!

    Really hope they release a bootleg boxset of all the Terminal 5 shows!! I would dish out the cash for that baby anyday :D Night one looked spectacular!

    hell ya, me too...esp since The Tennessee Fire sounds like garbage in its original state...unless of course they do a remaster, which would be awesome.
    They deff. had a soundboard guy at the Portland show...which I havent seen a boot drop on that yet, so maybe they'll do something official there too.

    I adore that venue. The acoustics are perfect (although for some reason they were horrible during the Hacienda set). Small and embracing.

    it is a cool venue
    but the sound is actually hit or miss given the huge ceiling
    up close the sound is great, but step back and its echo city

    but great bars and a very cool roof deck

    should be interesting tomorrow and Sat.

    As expected the Tennesse Fire night was out of this world.

    That album has grown so much from it's originial state. Not that i don't love it as is but to see Nashville to Kentucky, They Ran, The Bear, Think i'm going to Hell, War Begun, Rocket Man, Tyrone, If All Else Fails, Picture of You, I will Be There When you Die, Old Sept...well, you get the point :D

    The poster is really nice as well.

    I'm certainly still a little bummed that i could only do the one show :cry:

    small side note on T5. The roof deck was really cool but did the walk seem very long to anybody? like a half mile long. haha
