I thought Jim had ditched the ugly jacket finally. Guess not.
I thought so too... he didn't wear it at the Cincinnati or Cleveland shows earlier this year, but the jacket was back when we saw them at Forest Hills Stadium.

Great time Thursday night at my first MMJ show. Awesome set list including Tropics, Spring, State of The Art, Victory Dance, Wordless Chorus, and Touch Me Part 2. Plus I finally met the imfamous @derbydave.

Caught one of the three J Roddy shows in Baltimore (Thursday night). Had a blast - they are really awesome live. Tons of energy and they sounded great. They are going to destroy the Hard Rock in the DR. Really hope they get a decent time slot down there. I am still bitter about Deer Tick getting shafted with their set at the last OBH.
My wife is trying to talk me into at least one show with her sister. It'll most likely happen but haven't bought any tickets yet. Don't know about VIP there.
So, What you Giving ?........ (Thanks Speedy, Alesek, & Arq+friends)
What You Giving
I suggest you step out on your Porch.
Run away my son. See it all. Oh, See the World!
They seem to have given up on the west coast....they have only played here lately when supporting a new album.
It's been 3yrs since they have played Toronto. Toronto is one of the top 5 concert markets in North America... I don't get it? I don't think they have played anywhere in Canada for 3yrs. Would love to see them.
I was thinking maybe a Roll Call single. Do they still do that?
Not sure...but I don't think they even offered a Roll Call Membership for this year. I got lucky with MMJ tickets this year because I bought a deluxe membership in November of 2016 to pick up tickets for Jim's solo show in Louisville. My membership was good until November 2017 and gave me access to the presale for the tour dates this summer.

Jim just did a billboard interview where he says they have a live album "in the can." He also suggests the second Waterfall album could come out next year.

I have the blue zip hoodie that just says “My Morning Jacket” across the front. I get some funny looks at the grocery store.
Pretty cool that that they did this with Fort Lonesome. They’re here in Austin and Kathie that started it does great work with her team. It’s been fun to see them blow up the last few years. Her hubby is Matt the Electrician and is a great singer/songwriter as well.

When was the last time they played in Vancouver? They haven't played in Toronto for a few years now. Sort of wondered what was up with that?
Last time I saw them up here was at the first Pemberton back in 2008. Not sure when they actually played Vancouver though.
Yeah, have they ever?? Honestly, I've pretty much forgotten about these guys because without seeing them live the appeal isn't really holding up super well. If they came to Vancouver I'd totally go, and it would likely make me more into them.

Interesting. I heard some dj on that Jam On station on Sirius this weekend report they are going on hiatus after OBH....
2nd Waterfall is long overdue!
I've heard the same thing...
