    Im 46 years old.
Myself, and EVERY other American who eats fish, can tell you one thing.

They NEVER, EVER, EVER heard of Tilapia until 10-15 years ago.
But now its in EVERY supermarket across the country?

Its an evasive, botton feeding, disgusting fish, that the USA's government somehow managed to portray as some type of delicasy.
And the American public bought into it...

    Hook, Line, and sinker.<
    (pretty good huh)

Might as well go out in my backyard, dig up some worms. and eat them.

If you go to your local Walmart, you can find all sorts of tilapia from all different countries (they lable the country of origin on their seafood). Indeed, 70% of US tilapia comes from China. Now, you might be wary about eating seafood (including tilapia) that comes from China, where pesticide and manure run off might get into the ponds.

So to pay off our debt to China.
    The American government agreed to...

Take 1 billion Lbs. of this disgusting, evasive, fish off the Chinese hands. Every year.
And serve it to the American people.

    hehehehe

grilling vegetarian can be fun once in awhile, especially since portobello and onions go together so well. i learned about grilling peaches like 2 summers ago and they are so good, somehow a couple miller lites got me to put them all together on one bun.

yes...i've been fruiting my food lately with good results. i made a cherry tuna sushi roll and cherry, sweet potato sushi roll sunday. the peaches just added sweetness that rounded out the more bland flavors of portobello, swiss, and onion. the problem with adding fruit to food is that sometimes it goes disastrous.

i'm on a diet so i didn't even have anything else with the portobello burger - 11 lbs down 3 to go to get back to pre-acl/baby weight. Then all the burgers and steaks I can eat.

I have to laugh every time The Chicago papers, will give you a WARNING on the mercury levels, of the fish in the Great Lakes. Once a year I am warned that I should ONLY eat ONE-TWO meals a year, of fish I catch from the Great Lakes.

    Yeah Ok...

The mercury isnt killing the 1lb. fish?
But its going to kill my 260lb. ass?

    Im not buying it.

Ive known guys who eat Fresh Perch DAILY, during the summer, for the last 30-40 years.
    They look just fine.
