    dare someone say doping? ... anyways - what has also changed is some of the scoring ... figure skating was always semi-rigged to favour the russians ... that isn't the case anymore ...

    Olympic Athletes Hoping To Exchange Bent-Up Medals For Normal Ones

    VANCOUVER—A number of medal winners at the 2010 Winter Olympics admitted Tuesday that they looked forward to exchanging their inexplicably beat-up medals for regular ones that weren't completely dented for some reason. "When I was on the podium, I was like, what the hell is this?" said speed skater Shani Davis, adding that his gold and silver medals looked as though they had been "beat to shit." "Then I figured that they were just using these old medals for the ceremony so nobody would lose the nice, normal, non-fucked-up ones during all the excitement. I know a bunch of people who just recycled theirs afterward." Alpine skier Julia Mancuso told reporters that she knew an auto-body guy who could probably hammer her medals flat.

    There is a 50/50 shot the 2022 winter olympics could be hosted by the number one exporter of potassium! Norway dropped out so only Kazakstan or Beijing (which is no where close to mountains) or the only choices left after every potential country with a democratic government balked after Putin spent $51B on a ghost town.

    Watching the short track speed skating. Some baffling penalties that keep putting China on top. Go figure, a Beijing olympics.

    I didn’t even know it was Beijing until a couple months ago. It is pretty ridiculous.

    Yeah, the Winter Olympics is probably my all-time favorite sporting event, but it just doesn’t feel right watching this year.
