"Kim said Jimmy you better get yourself up off of that raggedy couch,
I'm too pretty to work and I'm tired of you uglyin' up my house"

Man, I'm enjoying it a lot. It's a classic -- in the sense of what you would expect -- Truckers albums to me. Got the rockers, Patterson's story songs (The Wig He Made Her Wear) and Shonna's songs on this one are better than those on Brighter Than Creation's Dark in my opinion.
Highlights for me so far are Birthday Boy, After the Scene Dies, Get Downtown, The Fourth Night of My Drinking and Cooley's Eyes Like Glue. It's a good one I say
Indeed, Shonna's contributions are most excellant. 8-)
I see that Best Buy has the CD on sale this week for $7.99

Are you sure this isn't for the vinyl??? It's retail street date did get moved back a bit....unless you ordered it from the Label. The Best Buy near me (in Alabama) had plenty of the CDs yesterday for $7.99

Still waiting for Amazon to ship my copy.... Shouldn't have selected free shipping. Tybird - You'll appreciate that the other item waiting to ship is my copy of Absolute Sandman Vol. 1. Splurged with a gift cert from work.
"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.

Naww I think it's a Canadian thing. Happened last time with the album; it took a while to arrive up here as well.

Like the last album I'll end up buying it anyways..just wanted to hear it in good quatity a billion times before I see them live next month 8-) All I got now is some crappy mp3 quality :x

Listening to all 30 seconds samples on iTunes right now. Good shit, I love it. Cooley is the man, always is.

Is it weird, but does anybody else here a little bit of a Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers sound coming through on this record? I don't mean that in a bad way either. 8-)

Well...they will be opening a few dates for Tom this summer....and they did cover "Rebels" for an episode of "King of the Hill"
