Hell Yeah! Show in San Diego on May 6th too!

Big to-do is $7.99 preorder on Amazon right now. Ordered that, plus the Live on Austin City Limits disc.
"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.

Already own the ACL disc. Superb shit right there, the DVD that comes with it is equally awesome.

$7.99 eh? I might have to do that...the record store here sells new releases for $9.99, not a huge difference...but I don't have to wait for shipping. Either way, I'm stoked as hell for this show!!! May couldn't come any slower.

I'm excited that Lucero will open in Boston & Philly as I've never seen them.

Went back to back weekend shows at the new Jefferson Theater in Charlottesville, VA. Saw Lucero one weekend and DBT the other. Went into both shows a real fan of neither and came out rocking to both...especially DBT.

Lucero was great, a huge mosh pit, with some attempts at crowd surfing, broke out. Great show for $15.

So i was looking at that set list and it looks pretty good but nothing at all from the Dirty South which is by far my favorite by them. I'm seeing them for the first time Saturday do they typically change the set list up?

    Don't know. :?
From the bootlegs of theirs that I have seen, it looks like they do for the most part, although there are some songs that stay in there (much like any band really).

Agreed on The Dirty South though...that album is awesome. Would love to hear "The Day John Henry Died" at the SLC show.

Yes, they change the set list every night. 8-)

Considering that "John Henry" is a Jason Isbell song, don't expect to hear it played at a DBT show....maybe at a Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit show.

Yes it is....Isbell's songs are quite often my favorite tracks of theirs...Goddman Lonely Love for example....then cooley....then patterson.
Love Isbell's voice....he actually played a couple hours from here the other night but in the middle of the week....it sucks to be a working stiff
All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow

They say every sin is deadly but I believe they may be wrong...I'm guilty of all seven and I don't feel too bad at all

Agreed. M-F, 8-5 is not concert friendly.

Now that I know that, it seems that a lot of Isbell tracks are som eof my favorites too...but I still really dig on some Hood and Cooley tracks.

"Heathens" is like angels singing in my ear.

Heathens is a Patterson track I think.

The only time that I heard them switch vocalists was back on the dirty south tour, when Isbell sang Nine Bullets.

    Heathens is patterson's

If I remember correctly, he originally wanted to call the album that eventually became "Decoration Day"..."Heathens".

I recall reading an interview about that.

    Don't forget...Letterman tonight!

Yeah, it was taped Monday...I've resisted the urge to find out what they played. I'll wait and be surprised.

Glad to see Dave showing love for DBT!

They should play Steve McQueen in Dave's honor...."And speaking of pussy, I guess Dave got it all
He fucked the assistant down the hall and he probably would've fucked Ali McGraw"

    I jest. Sorry Dave.

Check this out...behind the scenes of selected songs from "The Big To-Do" starting with Birthday Boy.

Be on the lookout for my favorite Rock N Roll cliché: "This song almost didn't make the record". :D

my dad's a big fan...I was thinking about taking him to see them in Philly...I know he would love to see them live but Philly is 2hrs from us so it would make for a long night, not an issue for me but it might make it less enjoyable for him...any one have an idea how long their shows usually are?
