the team hasn't been good the last two years. the only reason people think they were good is because of reid.

what coach do you want to replace him with?
I don't know were u get that info from almost anyone i talk too or here talkn all agree it's time to go. I'd take Gruden,Cowher,Billichk and i'm sure alot others. Ried is a good coach probably the best in franchise history but sometimes change is needed. I forget the exact number but the avg year it takes a coach to win a super bowl is within the 1st 4 years. Were about triple that now i'd say his time has come and gone.

It took cowher 14 years. I think gruden is a tool.

I guess people are sick of winning 10 games a year and going to the playoffs. Even when the team is predicted to finish 3rd in the division like last year.

Gotta give reid a shot to win with the new crew he's brought in/developed.

umm, just because you thought they would be in third doesn't mean everyone did.
and, again, expectations changed dramatically once we all saw how good vick was. bottom line is they had a first round bye sitting on their laps for the 2nd year in a row and they let it slip away just like they did in 09.

he's got another year, maybe two to make something finally happen.

him promoting the offensive line coach to d coordinator didn't help matters either.
A QB that knows how to read a defense and/or call an audible wouldn't hurt either.

...and that lies entirely on your boy's fat shoulders.

I would think vick has the green light to audible. mcnabb did it all the time.

We will see what happens if there is a season. If the birds can add some pieces on defense...like ashomagna (no clue how to spell his name), they should be a SB contender. Esp with ole juan running the D :D

If this team stays at 23 I hope they take Jimmy Smith. Screw it, they have already gone gansta with the QB. Might as well trend that way with the defense too.

Also, I wasnt talking about me predicting them to finish third...that was the consensus from most of the 'experts'. They should have known better...reid doesnt finish 3rd. He just wins divisions

they sure as hell better be super bowl contenders this year.

He gets my vote. The amount of carnage he has created in such a short time period is unprescedented. Isiah Thomas did a better job running the CBA.

i don't like the rule changes and other things he's done. he's not been that great...it's only when you consider the likes of selig, stern and betman, that you put things in perspective. ;) they all suck dude.

What are the odds of the eagles and team x agreeing on a trade behind the scenes. With that team drafting the player the eagles want and us sending them Kolb and a pick and draft a player they wanted? Looks like free agency and trades will be allowed no later then monday.

i don't think they are allowed to do that.

wish they could just postpone the draft a week or something.

With the judge not granting the stay why not??

Kevin Kolb - QB - Eagles

NFL Network's Jason LaCanfora reports agents and general managers are preparing for free agency and trades to begin as early as Monday.
The NFLPA has sent a letter to the league demanding to start the NFL immediately, threatening contempt of court charges in the meantime. The owners are holding their ground, however, waiting on the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to rule on the stay. The most common belief is that 2010 free agency rules will be carried over once the market opens.

technically there is no lockout right now so the eagles could trade him if they could find another team. but i think the league is intent on waiting for this last appeal before they do anything right? they could, but they're choosing to wait.

i just meant i don't think they're allowed to secretely have a team make the eagles pick for them and then just swap it for kolb later.......i really have no idea  just reading as much as i can the last couple days.

all i know is the eagles will be really screwed if they cannot get a pick for this year for kolb. we need help this year.

I agree i'm reading that the Smith and Prince are falling at cb. Smith failed 3 drug tests and Prince could fall to 25. Nnandi is my top free agent but if he's a pipe dream one of the other 2 would be nice. All i keep hearing is were trading down.

Read back a few pages. jeags and I have discussed our love for the draft. Just sucks it starts on Thursday night. The Sat/Sun format was a billion times better. Jeags idea to move round 1 to friday night, then have 2-4 saturday and 5-7 sunday would be cool too.

goodell is the one that fucks up wet dreams :D

ah, the good old days. my buddy is still having people over on saturday, but it's not the same without the first round of the draft on

I can't get into golf. I'm in sales and it can be used as a tool, but I just don't like it.

too slow, too early (who wants to get up before 8 on a saturday?), too expensive, too time consuming.

I'd rather just drink. By the fifth hole I'm bored to death. Few years ago my national sales meeting was in San Diego. They had tee times for all of us at Torrey Pines. I didn't even go. Me and a few other guys slept in then went to a local casino to gamble and drink all day.

Hey guys. Players can report on Friday. Does that mean players can be traded in the draft or what?

This whole situation is fucked up...

no trading during draft. the rules are supposed to be announced tomorrow. that makes a ton of sense :?

goodell is the worst. every time I see him at the podium I want to punch my TV. he has ruined the NFL

fixer you should just put the fact that you hate roger goodell in your signature. save you a few seconds from typing it in every other post. never seen someone as repetitive as you you.

in other news, jammin:i'm wondering if the birds actually do have something worked out with the cardinals for peterson. les bowen's quick take:

Up 'til now, I've felt the possibility of the Eagles making a "wink and nod" trade on draft night, where a team drafts a player who eventually gets traded for Kolb, was really ridiculous and very unlikely to be approved by the NFL. But tonight, with the league apparently on the verge of starting up again, absent a stay granted by the appeals court in St. Louis, hey, anything might happen.

I was thinking that San Fran made that pick for us. Mayock said Philly might try and trade up for Prince.
