The only thing going for the cubs is that their division got worse with pujols and fielder leaving. Braun missing 50 games will help too. The division is clearly wide open. .500 ball might be enough for the playoffs.
And a shit houston and pitt in it.

St louis, milwakee and cincy are still several paces ahead of this shit show

that's a good way to look at it. Houston and Pittsburgh are just as terrible, somehow maybe even worse.

St. Louis, Milwaukee and Cincy aren't great by any means. 85 wins probably wins the division. Problem is I think the Cubs will be somewhere around 70-75 wins and the Brewers, Cardinals and Reds will all be at 80-85 wins.

can you imagine if we were in a division like the AL East? They might lose 100.

    Cards - 86
    Reds - 85
    Brew - 84
    Pirates - 76
    Cubs - 74
    Astros - 61

dunno about the Mets. The 'Stros make the Cubs and Pirates look like an All-Star team.

Rizzo does, but not really this year. Maybe in 2013... he's only 21.

Ian Stewart.... i have a feeling he's going to be solid for us. I like this pick up.

Certainly though... we don't have enough to be contenders. Who's on first again?
