bright side: cubs have the most runs scored in the 9th inning this year
i think it's because their opponents have such a big lead that they put out the last guy in their pen just to get some work in.
did you stumble upon the only stat that hasn't been kept in baseball!?!
maybe the tribune just developoed it. i don't know. but the answer has to be out there. i might go look at the 88 baltimore squad and see what they did during their 21 game losing streak.
i'm sure if i could access the database, i could figure it out really quick. :x

just looked at the 1988 Baltimore team that lost 21 games in row to start the season. longest stretch during that time....43 innings.
I see Mr. Zambrano got ROCKED last night.
Had to be pulled in the 5th inning?
2-3 for the year, and it a week away from June?
This clown wont win 10 games....

i saw that stat too.
does anybody in the cubs line up scare you?
cool. thanks.
at this point, i will take any bright spot i can get.
he's a one month wonder
the streak stops at 59 innings (for now).
but can they stop teh trailing after the 9th issue :corn:
this season i think we'd have a better luck asking for water to be turned into wine. :(
look on the upside....they led at the end of 3 innings....
on the down side, the current streak is now 6 innings
did you ever get a response to your tweet? and, completely off topic, i miss the sad baby photo.
nope... :x
i sent one to Len this AM and he tweeted about something else.
sent one to LENandBob and no reply. :x
i'll try waddle and silvy next

Till there aint nothing left worth taking away from me.....
with the way he has pitched, he should have 6 wins.
number of games where he went 6-7 innings giving up 0 or 1 runs only to get zero support.
by all accounts, he's been pitching well, outside of a couple of clunkers.

He should be working part-time, pumping gas, at the family gas station.

i'm gonna find that damn record.
not with the contract the tribune gave him.
maybe try Walter Jacobson too.
looked at the 97 cubs 0-14 start. longest streak during that debacle was 45 innings.
i'm thinking that 59 is pretty impressive. gotta be anouther streak out there. need to find a team with bad hitting and pitching
wtf does "but will effort" mean? he's gonna dig?
i need to know. :x
just sent an email to Stats...don't know if they will respond, but it couldn't hurt to throw it out there.
i thought about them too.
just give me access to the data base,...i'll have it done in 10 minutes.
pivot table...
it'd be over 2M innnings by my count.
