i suppose it will be similiar to the philly game where farve single handly lost the season

you would think a 40 year old qb would know better than to throw it back across the field

it really didnt affect much anyway. they were already out of fieldgoal range and the Saints didnt do anything with it. i guess Longwell coulda hit from that far, but i guess we'll never know.

The same I have viewed him for a long time. He is a tease. A temptress. He makes you put aside your team's development for a one time shot and he comes up short. That stupid interception was his fault. He should have run.

However, this was not all his fault. Not even mostly his fault. The fumbles were killer. And you have to give the guy credit for getting back up everytime he took a vicious hit.

that 2nd half reminded me of rocky going 15 rounds with ivan drago. unfortunately farve could not end the cold war tonight too.

    fumbles killed them.

  • you cant blame Favre for this one. he was the only reason they had a chance with all those fumbles.

So, what do we think ... Favre going to retire tonight?

(even if he comes back next August)

chance to win the game and you throw a pic when you can run for yards. yeah, i think you can blame him. plus it's fun. fuck farve

agree with mr smith. had it not been for the fumbles, the vikes would have won by 2 td's.

i'm not sure what he's going to do. as of a minute ago, he's still declining all interviews and has not done his press conference yet.

  • the officiating sucked, but the calls went both ways. those personal foul calls were ridiculous.

He certainly is the only reason they were even in contention this year. Best season of his career - no way he should retire this time. Still, I'm pretty pissed at him for breaking my son's heart tonight. I'm sorry, but they should have won that game.

and they very well might have if Farve didn't throw the late int.

Farve is NOT a closer. well, maybe for the other team he is.

Fuck Favre is right! That pick was a thing of beauty. Mr Unclutch fails again when it matters most, something he has been great at in his career, probably the best at it. So glad that the most selfish athlete of all time failed so close to getting back to the Super Bowl. Ha ha Favre, go away forever now!!

Close game, not particularly well played, and the Vikings were the dominate team except you gotta take care of the ball. I hope The Saints win, but Manning is playing real well and the Colts D are playing well. Should be a good Super Bowl.

  • i think that stupid penalty probably pushed them out of field goal range anyway. it was a stupid throw, but i dont think it cost them the game.
  • RW81233RW81233 Posts: 2,393
The Vikings definitely gained steam as the game went on, but they really benefitted from some TERRIBLE calls early that kept them in the game. Surely the turnovers didn't help them, but they could have been down 2 TDs early on if they weren't helped out. In the end they got shafted by terrible calls so I guess Goddell decided that he had enough of Favre, and told the refs to start sucking to help the saints.

There is no way Farve retires now. Just like 2 years ago against the Giants...he does not want to end his career with his last throw being a game losing INT. Farve's coming back next year.
