I watched the end of the Lakers vs. Thunder game yesterday. All I could think of the whole time was that without D-Rose 110% healthy, the Bulls get smoked by either of these teams.....

    Not this year kids.

i have no problem with him in the game, or even driving. it was a non contact injury....simple jump stop...nothing too it. wasn't hit, and didn't really land funny....which is what makes it scary. acl? mcl? hopefully just a strain. :fp:

Thibs needs to stop his gung ho bullshit. He's a great coach, but playoffs are a time for common sense. Rose should have been on the bench! Totally on him and he should acknowledge it.

This has been confirmed to be an unfounded rumor.

There's still hope it could be something like a sprain.

    Torn acl, that's horrible
  • 8181 Posts: 58,276
    ahh nuts :fp:

what a shit season for him.

at least we have CJ and Lucas. solid backups who have performed well this season.

don't think they win a title without Rose, but i can see them making noise. ECF should still happen, but beating Maimi will be tough without him, although they did beat them twice this season with CJ and Lucas both staring

    fuck

    I love Thibs' line:

With the game in hand, the question is: Why was Rose still in the game?

"Yeah, I don't work backwards like you guys do. The score was going the other way," Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said.

i had no problem with rose in the game at that point.

    zero, zip, nadda

it was a jump cut he has done 100's of times

I believe this injury was gonna happen eventually, just because of the way D Rose plays the game and his season long battle w/ various injuries. In some weird way, better to have it happen now, than say in game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

To D. Rose, best of health and a speedy, full recovery!

    Cheers,

As a Sixer's fan, I'd just like to say that really sucks for D. Rose. It's still a long shot for us to win but I don't want to win that way. I don't think you can blame the coach for that. I don't think I've ever seen a player tear his Acl and still jump as high as he did. That was weird how he started grabbing his knee in midair.
    Alright, alright, alright!

    crazy...

and i agree. you wanna beat a team with it's best players on the court/ice/field

i still think the bulls have enough to get to the ECF's....and who knows....get lucky

CJ and Lucas have both played well this year.

hopefully, D Rose can get fully healed and still have that explosive first step.
