Miami would've gotten hot and probably stolen 2 games to drag it out. Atlanta will be lucky to get to Game 5. Still happy that Miami lost. I'm pissed at that town and their stupid state.

Of course, Miami has been so Jeckyl and Hyde this year they could also fail to get out of the play in tourney.

    Yeah you lucked out
Ha. Miami did not have me quaking in my green boots. As I said above they were totally erratic this season and no real threat. I fully expect Toronto to take them out Friday.
They're not good but they play tough. I'd think you'd want to avoid a physical first round match up before encountering the MVP.

Maybe the Jokic fans will launch a terrorist attack on the NBA offices.

Such a well written show. JLD kills it. But once reality outpaces the actual comedy it just doesn't hit the same way anymore imo.

No, but someone has compiled a list of the 100 writers who get a vote, and 36 (42 now) of them have gone public with who they voted for. (the voting has already been completed and the results hidden until it's announced, but 42 of the voters said who they voted for and 28 of them voted Embiid.)

I don't know how many votes there are. I feel like the, let's say, "old schoolers" wouldn't publicize their votes and are the same people who have a "thing" about JoJo and The Process.

20 points, 19 rebounds, 7 assists, 3 blocks, and 1 steal...I thought Embiid was fantastic.

Double team him all you want, somebody will be open and he'll find him.

Yeah, Embiid was very good. Did the right thing when doubled and swung the ball to open guys. Didn't force things.

Harden on the other hand definitely was not good. I'd be fairly concerned about him as a Sixers fan. He hit his 3's in game 1 so he was a factor in that game but couldn't hit any 2's. Missed or was blocked on a bunch of layups. His lift isn't there, his explosiveness is gone. He's a liability on the defensive end. Against a better opponent he will be a problem. Maxey is currently much better suited to run the point for this Philly team.

Embiid was incredible. Maxey is just... he's just the best.

Harden takes layups about as well as I do.

I hope they win the next 2.

I was only able to watch the 1st quarter and when i saw the stats at the end of the night I could have sworn Embiid was like 6 for 18 or something like that (he was 6 for 11). I did see the 19 rebounds though.

I guess you didn't listen to The Ricky. (haha)

My understanding is he is collecting a substantial salary from one of the teams in the series.

Substantial? Pshaw. He only made roughly $130,000.00 for every point he scored this season or roughly $34,000 per minute he was on the floor. (Big improvement over last when he made about 35 million to never see the floor).

No I actually just listened to the Ricky. That Spike soliloquy at the end was the first time I even thought about him. As Ponce points out, he's getting paid super star money to not play and his team is playing the team he was traded from...yet he's a complete non factor/ not even a storyline for anyone to talk about...except Spike.

    Incredible fall from grace...ish

I went to the live Ricky last week and got to meet Bball Paul. Really cool experience overall, but Spike’s “poem” was really awkward.

Got last second tickets to the game last night and got seats in the “Revolutionary Row” section. Had no idea they existed until last night. If you’re familiar with the Assembly Room, it’s just there but there’s one row of seats that runs the whole way around it and the seats are really comfortable. Amazing birds eye view. Probably going to be the first place I check for tickets from now on.
