So after waiting 833 days since he was drafted, I rush home from the gym to watch the game. My DVR was set and I was going to be 10min late. I notice a utility van on the backside of my house then I pull into my driveway. My wife was outside with the dog and I ask if the electricity is out and she says" no, the cable is". Are you fucking kidding me? I missed the 1st half.

Gonna say Dario makes a run for ROY. That shot looks so much sweeter than what it supposedly looked like a year or two ago.
Couple years of seasoning overseas looks to have been the right move for him. His court awareness is quite good.
and has anyone won rookie of the year on a team who won 20 or less games?
You're a Sixers fan and you're asking this? Don't even need a long memory, Carter-Williams in 2014 for Phily (18 wins), also Wiggins in 2015 for Minny (16 wins), plus plenty of others.

Ugh.
Yeah he's said before he hasn't paid any attention to this team after Larry Brown and Iverson left.

We'll need Jah's scoring. I'll probably watch while Joel is in and switch channels when he isn't for the beginning of the season. Still so disappointed that Ben got hurt. I had the same feeling in my gut when Peters tore his achillies before the 2011 or 2012 season for the Eagles.
Alright, alright, alright!

Another "Minor" surgery for Noel. Well, if this as "MINOR" as Okafor, he'll be out for awhile. Hope it's not.
76ers' Nerlens Noel to have minor procedure on sore knee
During the normal course of evaluation and treatment for his left adductor strain, which was identified on October 6, Noel reported localized soreness in his left knee. After consulting with multiple specialists, the source of the soreness was identified as inflamed plica. Noel has elected to address the injury via a minor surgical procedure in the coming days.
Jerryd Bayless to Miss First Month of Season with Wrist Injury
Bad news for the Sixers starting point guard.
Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports Nothing goes hand-in-hand like the 76ers and injury news. ESPN’s Jeff Goodman reported today that point guard Jerryd Bayless will miss the first month of the regular season with an injury to his left wrist:
The Sixers had been mum on Bayless’ status and absence from the preseason for a few weeks before Brett Brown’s statement on Friday that Bayless would be reevaluated in “two weeks.”
Bayless’ injury looks to hamper the Sixers offense significantly. He may only be a slightly above replacement-level player this season, but it’s been such a drop-off in play with the team’s carousel of poor point guards over the last few seasons. Even average play would be a bright spot and Bayless seemed to fit well in an offense that would have Dario Saric operating as a point forward much like Ben Simmons would.
So with Bayless sidelined, expect more of Sergio Rodriguez and T.J. McConnell, as well as a flurry of trade rumors surrounding Sixers and other team’s point guards, like last week’s Tyus Jones talk, or possibly the Sixers even using their top waiver wire spot on another team’s cut player. this team is going to be awful again. going to be a brutal start to the season.
What the fuck is a Jared Bayless? Can't wait till Wednesday. Xfinity, sixers, delilahs and the day off the next day
He was gonna be the 76ers starting point guard this year.
May want to change the title of this thread. Home of the 4 Time TANKions?
Well, next year's draft is SUPPOSE to be a good one.
Also, does Simmons play this season or not? And, does Nerlens Noel get traded? That's if he can get healthy, first.
if Simmons is healthy at some point you have to play him this year. you cannot waste another year and have him start fresh as a rookie next year. you need to start getting him acclimated to the NBA and to to figure out how to play with Embiid and/or Okafor. Or where all these guys can fit together including Saric.
I still think they end up trading Okafor. he will have more value and Noel. and I think trading Okafor will be a mistake.

Any concern with Okafor? Surgery in March and he's still hurting? Or are the 76ers just being careful?
