Nobody is saying that. I went to all the Australian shows, and I am saying that I saw maybe ~5 ten club members / wrist band holders over the entire 5 shows push in and disrupt the otherwise pleasant lead up to the show when everyone was sitting down waiting. On the other hand, I saw at least ~10 people at each and every show with GA bands just walk their way up to wherever the hell they felt like and stand there. So it is not that I am saying everyone from GA are fuckwits, or everyone in 10c a legend, it's just that every time the idiots were pretty much purely GA ticket holders. If the 10c members had been doing it, I would be just as annoyed at them. It's not a 10c vs. GA thing, it's just a fact of the matter.

yeah but what i'm saying how do you know those people with only blue bands aren't in the fan club. i'm in the fan club and only had a blue band. also people with blue bands may have been lining up just as long as the 10 clubbers, but because of the 15 minutes early entry they couldn't get the front. do they also deserve to miss out?

  • Being my first pj concert Ididn't know what to expect but I was assuming it was going to go off in the crowd... at some points I felt like the only one jumping and felt like a dick even though I was up the front? I would say everyone was pretty subdued, the people in front of me were shaking their heads at the guy in front of them who was jumping around, seriously guys this is a rock concert not a church service!!!

I dont think we will see the same thing again...PJ security were aware of the problem...atleast the guy with the grey goatee..he seemed to be switched onto the whole thing...pretty good guy actually, had a few chats to him...

Awesome show. Probably ties with Adelaide for the best one of the 4 I saw in Australia. If You Want Blood/Blood "experiment" was amazing!

Fingers crossed for shows in Europe next year. Thank you PJ - have an incredible Christmas!

  • An absolutely amazing night. Spent a while protecting my partner and a few other fans from the crush from the idiotic non-10Cers. Once we got them out of the way, we really enjoyed ourselves. All three acts were totally amazing. The vibe coming from PJ was amazing. Without a doubt the most amazing show I've been too.

Really looking forward to the boot leg :-D

Hopefully they play at a different venue next time and don't make us wait 3 years.

I agree. While (IMHO) Pearl Jam where much better this show than the previous two Brisbane shows, I think the venue was not great. However, I got to meet a lot of great people (10Cers and non). Once we were all settled we had a fantastic time. Even meeting people lining up for the buses was great.

Oh and apologies to all around for my bad singing as I was really belting it out :-)

Oh yeah that's right ... Ed also said how they been lapping it up, enjoying the Gold Coast etc.

I think the band should move down under or at least buy holiday houses here. 8-)

Haha... I didn't hear everything Ed said. I heard Ed talk about Mike getting a new tattoo done that day. Did anyone see it? Can't wait to hear the boot. :)

It was my first PJ concert and despite the venue it was a great show. It took me a good day or two to be able to walk normally after jumping up and down for the whole set. I am getting to old for head banging too. ;)

wondering why it always comes back to people jumping around and "participating". sometimes it's just too freaking hot to jump (sydney!!). I prefer not to jump around because i am a total clutz and would likely lose my footing and fall over = not so fun. doesn't mean you aren't into the show.
Brisbane was awesome as was sydney. (and I'm sure all the others were too).
Thanks to all the lovely people I met along the way. Miss everyone already.

No worries Stella. Hope your sun burn has gone. :)

Other than jumping to the music, I was also able to catch quick look at the band. ;)

I hope the next time PJ come to Australia they play at smaller venues.

No security required by me...I'm tough :)
What a show!! Best yet! Loved Finn and EJ Harper and R7 were fantastic. PJ did an amazing show Ed is nearly back to full health but voice and energy is back to full form. Loved the BS songs with the greats and some of the rare-er songs but the hole band were loving it and feeding off the band.

Had a kid next to us o the barrier crowd were really good on Mike's side so he was safe just had a problem with non 10cers pushing to the front. the otherside got badly crushed Joni had to get security.

missed the after party sorry guys wifes back is killing her she told me to go by myself but I couldn't I will in chch ;)

I called security over when a really drunk girl and her friend walked in front of me and the girl looked like she was about to vomit at my feet. :)

How gross. You wouldnt want to have your PJ experience ruined by the lack of class by a person doing that. I enjoy a drink or two, but the excitement of PJ stopped me from drinking at all. I was on enough of a high without drink or drugs to enhance my experience of PJ! In fact I never bothered drinking much the whole tour, now that I'm home I feel like indulging in a few, however. Bring on summer!!

I loved Brisbane thought it was great. Probably ranks third or 4th on my list.

Hung behind the sound desk with Pete and just danced around like maniacs....top fun.

Bris was probably the best organisation/access/lesser queues

My oldies just got home form a holiday as well. They has a lady pick them up from the airport, golf etc in a black van. They got chatting and it works out only a few days before she had been doing the same for a band. It came to light that it was PJ. They gave her and her son backstage tickets

Also the band was running terribly late from their Gold Coast abode so they got a police escort to the show
I'll ride the wave where it takes me.

Yeah another great looking set-list, and sounds like a grand show. So glad Ed wasn't taken to his sick-bed, I was fretting for you guys (forget about the band!)

Zenith, are you hovering around out there? Did you finally get to see In My Tree? and was it the slow version you requested? If not maybe you should request a refund.

Home straight now I guess - not sure there is much left for them to pull out of the hat this tour!

Brisbane version i cried - i know, im an utter sook - but i was so excited, and had so many smiles around me, and they totally nailed it - fast ...... i was in heaven for about 5 minutes, and ill die a happy happy girl

Most excellent news! Somehow I didn't have you down for the Christchurch gig, was that a late addition?

Yes, it could be argued that seeing In my Tree live is likely to be the highpoint of anyone's life - it's probably all downhill from here I'm afraid! Fortunately I have yet to hear it, so my life is still worth living....

I think we're in the anticlimactic slump now, only Christmas and New Year to fend off the doldrums until the next round of PJ activity :) Was there any more news on the Backspacer outtakes being released? Maybe I should have a look, not sure I should be asking that here.

    Congrats tho!
