  • People, people people!!! hang tight. If a Euro tour is announced, chances are they will start in dublin. they did in 2006 and after cork in 1996. wouldnt hold my breath for belfast date. o2 will be the venue. i am still extremely scepticle about that ad about winning tickets. why does no other station have any news or twofeetthick or theskyiscrape. all this talk and rumours is driving me crazy. in relation to a time frame didnt the band say a baby is due soon and there will be no tour til summer. makes sense to have a euro summer tour like a summer australia tour now. fingers crossed. can us fellow dubliners hope for an olympia show!!!! dont believe that ad folks. its dodgy. wait for offical news.

i wish i wish i wish i wish, i guess it never stops

this is the answer that a friend receive about the cbs contest.

    Hi There,

Our PR department forwarded me your note. Just wanted to let you know that this is indeed a REAL contest to win a REAL TRIP to see PJ next year in Europe. Pearl Jam partnered with CBS and Last.fm this month to help launch the "last.fm on Xbox LIVE" product - you can find out more about that here:

As for the contest -- the Europe tour dates are so secret even we don't know where they're playing. That's why we had to keep the contest a little bit vague. The prize is as follows:

    Sweepstakes includes:
2 tickets & press passes for a show on Pearl Jam's 2010 'Backspacer' European tour (location/date TBA); airfare and accomodation (or camping passes if this is a festival date)
And here's the link to the rules: <http://www.cbsradio.com/contests/pearljambackspacer/rules_html>http://www.cbsradio.com/contests/pearljambackspacer/rules_html

So it's definitely FOR REAL and one lucky winner WILL GO TO EUROPE next year for a PJ show.

Feel free to re-post the contest link far and wide, and good luck! If you have more questions feel free to email me back.
    Thanks,
    Matt
