I'm pretty sure he said "I would be..." Don't quote me on that.
So much to discuss about the latest episode, but first CAFFEINE!!!0 -

So again, the question that begs: Is Jacob a good witch or a bad witch? Same for Faucke. The lines are nicely blurred. This weekend we rock Portland0 -
Ok y'all....let's get down to brass tacks.
Thoughts on the episode? Anybody dislike it?
I was really REALLY into evil Sayid, as others mentioned. I thought the formation of Flocke's army was pretty awesome as well. Claire is on fire these days and I like her having Kate all in a tizzy.
I have to confess I was glad to see Lennon go, because he has been getting on my nerves. Dogen, well, I don't know. His fight with Sayid was kick-ass, but I felt like he was getting a little old with all of his DEEP THOUGHTS and mysterious comments.
Definitely missed Hurley tonight, but a few good moments of comic relief from Miles (Claire: still looking hot!)
Haven't had much time or brain power to form theories yet, though I feel excited about my earlier theory that the black vs white/good vs evil will be much murkier (like the water in the temple!) than many may expect.
Oh, and Keamy! KEAMY!!! Was really glad to see that piece of man meat again!0 -

Still wrapping my brain around Evil Sayid. Kind of a logical progression of the impulses he's been fighting. I've liked Sayid from the start (except for his thing for that bimbo Shannon) and wondered where else they would take his character. I enjoyed his fight with Dogen. Not very often that you see Sayid pwned.
I guess we're heading for the war that Widmore predicted."The stars are all connected to the brain."0 -

i'd say jacob is good because in the enhanced version of the episode where flocke takes sawyer to where the names are it says a major theme of the show is good vs evil represented by the white and black stones, then flocke picks up the white rock and throws it into the water which i will assume would mean jacob since he died.
plus the whole mass murder thing....don't compete; coexist
what are you but my reflection? who am i to judge or strike you down?

Oh, and Keamy! KEAMY!!! Was really glad to see that piece of man meat again!
I would say I disliked it. I didn't hate it, it had good moments: Sayid/Dogan fight, Dogan's story about his son, evil Sayid, the smoke monster part, and the very end with Locke's army forming.
The Keamy thing. First off, I have seen every episode of Lost and have watched it from 2004. I recognized the guy but could not remember who he was or whether he was an other or part of another group. This goes to an interesting turn Lost has taken for me. I used to really love when they would show a flashback and someone from the island would show up. Ooooh, they were involved in each other's lives in the past! Now, it doesn't do it for me anymore. We get it, writers, it is all connected. I'm sure people noticed Jack walk by Sayid when he went to the hospital to see his brother. Again, not exciting anymore. My point about Keamy is why am I excited about seeing a guy I faintly remember make some eggs and then get shot by Sayid? It's always the same reveal where they show the guy from the back, we are obviously supposed to focus on him and wonder who it is, and then they reveal him/her. (see Dogan from the last episode at Jack's son's concert).
I think my main problem with this episode was the preview which showed that something was going to be answered and nothing was. Just an ok episode to me."We're fixed good, lamp-wise."0 -

I think you should be getting used to the answers not being answered this year, regardless of how much they say they will be answered. Seems the common thing so far this season. And its driving me nuts too.Midwest. Indy/Lafayette.0 -

I would say that you are definitely right about questions being raised without clear answers. But seriously at this point, I feel like you are either in or out, you know? Like the time for nitpicking is over and you just have to strap in an enjoy the ride. Obviously, that's a sarcastic, cynical way to put it....but I hope you get my meaning. I'm really enjoying this season and enjoying watching things unfold even if they are just red herrings or dead ends. The show has always been about the journey for me, not about the endpoint.
PS
I guess I noticed Keamy because I read nerd pages about this show nonstop. Also I thought he was dreamy.0 -

Yeah I know what you mean about just enjoying the ride. I have said that for a long time that I was happy to just see where it was going, but they pull me in with wanting answers. I don't even need real answers just something cool like the lighthouse or the cave with the names on the ceiling. This episode didn't even have anything like that which is fine except for them pimping it out as giving me answers."We're fixed good, lamp-wise."0 -

But did you find/figure out who Keamy was? He was the mercenary from Widmore's freighter, the badass who slit the throat of the ship's doctor to make a point, who shot Ben's daughter as Ben watched, who wore a monitor that triggered the ship to explode if he was killed (he was and it did). In other words, a RUTHLESS character. So a surprise to see him in the Sideways universe but NO SURPRISE to see that he's still a VERY bad man. Kind of cathartic to see Sayid off him."The stars are all connected to the brain."0 -
Is it wrong that I kind of wanted "Welcome to the Jungle" to blast while Smokey was on his Temple tour?
YOU KNOW WHERE YOU ARE??
YOU'RE IN THE JUNGLE, BABY!
YOU'RE GONNNNNA DIIIIIIEEEEEEE!!!
Of course that could just be me.0 -
They definetely need some kick ass music at times like that. I would have fallen off the couch if that happened. Or when Sayid and Dogan are fighting.....'Everybody is Kung Fu fightingggg........HUH!'Midwest. Indy/Lafayette.0

ha..ha..that would have been awesome. These cuts are leaving creases. Trace the scars to fit the pieces, to tell the story, you don't need to say a word.0 -
cool episdoe, sayid has the best side story yet!!
i also like that they stripped away those "other others" and really seem to be grindin it back down to original oceanic crew to finish the show
i like the way you guys are thinkin about hurley and jack gettin put out of the way,
i dont think kate is with "locke"'s army
in and sun? what to think? maybe the two of them together will be the one/s who pass the "test" somehow and become whatever it is that there is to become or whatever
are separate crews of oceanic gonna fall in line with either side and be pitted against each other? if so i think "locke"'s crew is pretty scary cause they just dont seem to give a fuck after "locke" gets through with'em. jacobs crew (if thats how it boils down) would probably be all conflicted and full of morality and struggling with right and wrong and just get jacked right away...but thats all a huge "what if"...and fuck me if I say somethin you dont wanna hear, fuck me!
and fuck me if you only hear what you wanna hear
fuck me...if I care...but im not leavin here0 -
Great episode! Reminded me of the last Star Wars movie - Sayid/Anakin going to the Dark Side. Hell, people in a temple were wiped out in both too!
Loved seeing Keamy - great bad guy! I'd imagine he is the guy who Jin was taking the watch too? The mafia thing matches up.
I like the fact that minor/major characters keep popping up. It shows these people would have been linked whether or not they landed on the island.
I still don't think it's "good vs. evil." Sure, there's killing going on, but I really feel like it's more of a "fate vs. free will" battle between Jacob and Man in Locke. And I'm still not convinced they are two separate "people." There has to be a reason why MIL/MIB doesn't have a name yet.2000 Columbus, Pittsburgh
