Very cool!  A great old record.  Saw Country Joe and the Fish at a Vietnam War protest rally on the promenade in front of San Francisco's city hall.
Joe did the fish chant with the crowd only it went like:
    Give and an F!
    Ffffffffffffffffff!
    Give me a U!
    Uuuuuuuuuu!
    Give me a C!
    Ccccccccccc!
    Give me a K!
    Kkkkkkkkkkk!
    What's that spell?
    FUUUUUUCK!
    What's that spell?
    FUUUUUUCK!
    What's that spell?
    FUUUUUUCK!

First thing I did when I was spinning this was refer to
    No mention of said protest...
If I could have a nickel for every little addition or change I would have made had I thought of it at the time...

Strike while the iron is hot.
    I'll pre-order a signed copy.
I've considered doing at least a revised version... and then I think about how much brain power and energy that would take...
    Exhausted Gif - GIFcen

But maybe some day I'll get my little Notes and Quotes manuscript together and printed (about 70 pages).  It contains a lot about music and other thoughts and observations.

By the way- love the colors in your photo and that sweet little leaf drawing.
I found the site where you order your book. It mentions that you can get it signed. Is that still possible?
You certainly can, J and I'm happy to do so!

A friend of mine and I were going though some of his albums the other day and I saw this one and I said, "I love pancakes but I have no idea what this record is- never heard of it."  He said, "You should take this one, it's great!"
I took it home, cleaned it, played the first song and recognized it immediately and thought, So that's who did that song!  Very cool, thanks Scott!

Yes it is and that's the one! (Actually, "Never Been Any Reason", but close enough!)  I'd heard that song on the radio many times and I think it was used it a movie or two and always kind of liked it.  But when I put it on my stereo and really got to hear it properly it was like- Man!, that's a great song!

I like it better than their last one. my criticism of the last one was they didn't deviate from the "two man band" formula. This one takes some risks.

I've seen them live twice. Both times, very bombastic, acting like they are the best band in the world. I get it. A lot of their crowd are Even Bros. So it's on point to act like egotistical dicks. But it just wasn't my bag. Performances were really tight though.

The times I have seen them they were great.  Big sound coming from the duo, which I liked.  Listening to the albums though got me wanting more as in more than a bass and a drum kit, so I will check this out then!  Thanks

    I've seen them 3x..

They opened for Foos, QOTSA and on their own at a club

And yes, the drummer was super macho, drinking a bottle of tequila the whole show.  Was a little cheese.  But I enjoyed all 3 show

yeah, I saw them open for Queens and at a theatre they headlined. that reminds me, I haven't listened to the bonus tracks on the 7" that came with the signed vinyl yet.
