    Welcome home Kevin! I'm gonna send you some vinyl next week - I need my prize for the world's longest delay though. If it makes you feel any better there's a lot of other stuff I never manage to get done...... like the washing up! :twisted:

    I think I own enough records now, so I'm calming down on the buying for a bit, and going back through the collection. I need to cull a few - I'll see if I can find some 80s classics for you, I know you love that stuff.

    i was in haven at poole..came home early what a dump :|

    went in a few charity shops nothing then as i was driving home today found a second hand vinyl store but couldnt top gutted :evil:

    Astounding album - which I've never heard on vinyl. grrrr

    Was eyeing this up in my local record store (regular vinyl - seems new to their racks) but at £22 I wasn't too happy. The prices across the board in that place seem to be hiking up for new vinyl releases. I think they want us to make up for the free downloaders!

    Seeing as this is a massive thread on vinyl, does anyone have a great way of cleaning records? I just got the new Bon Iver vinyl and there are smudges all over the place and there is alot of static sounds and cracking. Thanks for any advice.

    This. I've been looking at some brushes but they're expensive ($25 for a brush? No.) and I'm not sure how I'd use them, and those liquid cleaning kits make me nervous. I have a few records that came out of the sleeve new with little white pieces of the sleeve on them, and others that have been through a few plays now that I want to care for.

    I once went to my local record store dealer to have a record cleaned, cause I didn't want to buy a cleaning machine for only one dirty record. He had this knosti machine and it worked out pretty nice.

    I have been stalking this thread for months because I have wanted to buy a record player and I finally did today. So I must post, thought I am not talented enough to put the pictures of the albums.

    I have 6 PJ records that I added to these 5 I bought on Saturday
