Awesome record, awesome band! Definitely in my top 10. :-bd
Yeh mine too, awesome artwork on the cover as well. I'm trying to post a photo but no dice!
I was flicking channels the other night and found a doco on the ABC about them too, pretty interesting. They were so groundbreaking and ahead of their time

    Jakob - Sines.
    20hkqdy.jpg
    2014.

Quality New Zealand Post-rock three-piece. This is a full instrumental record, no vocals, 8 years in the making. Have been compared to the likes of Tool and Mogwai.

    Album review: http://www.undertheradar.co.nz/review/1007/Sines.utr

From the review you posted, reesdog:

"When each member of your three-piece band suffers career-halting hand injuries consecutively, then your label collapses, and then just as alt-rock giants Tool ask you to tour the States with them your visa runs out, you might take that as a sign to give up. Napier’s revered post-rockers, Jakob didn’t though. They persevered and they persevered some more, and eight years on from the most difficult of births, Sines was born."

Wow! Talk about "hack or pack"! Must check that out!

I'm glad you had a read Brian, that's quite some story behind the band and making of their latest release! Not sure how easy it would be to get your hand's on a copy in the States, they might have had an international release, I'm not sure. But I'm sure our friend Google would know... :)

URP to open 2nd plant. Yeah, LB was a mess for us, but good news for Jack White fans. Maybe he can get to work on that GBMS reissue. B-)

Yeah, I was shocked. Someone must have unloaded their small collection, but it was mostly recent releases. I was planning on pulling the trigger on the albums soon, so this was a great find for me

It is! I was just staring at it online a couple of minutes ago, trying to decide if I can really afford another record right now... either way, I'll get it soon enough. Mark Lanegan is just so awesome. 8->

Wow- looks great but I can't find a track listing for the vinyl version. If it's not too much trouble, reesdog, can you post it or know of a link that has the list of tracks, how many discs, etc.? Thanks!
