Here are some pickups from the record show in Ann Arbor: (most likely the same one jlaustin attended)

Mostly jazz, with the exception of Queen and The Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome soundtrack. A lot of Jimmy Smith and Wes Montgomery albums, some Japanese pressings. All the vinyl is mint, stored in mo-fi bags.

Great jazz finds, BIGDaddyWil- one of my favorite Ornette Coleman records, some great Wes Montgomery and Evans, Smith, Getz, Peterson-- Wow!!

Such a fun day at Record Store Day today &&& I scored the only REM Unplugged set at the 2 shops I went to!! So stoked to get that. I'd npt been sure if we'd see it at all down here in NZ so YAYYY!! :-D I'd also hoped to get The Velvet Underground Loaded re-issue but missed out on it unfortunately. :-(

Also picked up non RSD The White Stripes 1st album on vinyl. I realised the other day I don't have it, went into a record shop today & there it was on vinyl so it was just meant to be obviously!!.

Now waiting for Uncle Neil's RSD releases whenever they come out later in the year...........

    Paolo Nutini - Caustic Love

I was never really much of a fan of his previous work, but this new record is excellent, perfect moody soul music for the Summer. I'm a bit obsessed with the song Iron Sky, it's quite incredible:

For this years RSD there wasn't that much at my local that grabbed me, when the doors opened at 9am, there was a bit of a stampede and by the time it cleared the few records I would have taken any interest in were gone. Oh well, this was my one and only RSD purchase and I'm happy with it...

Joy Division - An Ideal For Living.
Image and video hosting by TinyPic
12" EP, limited edition, reissue. Originally released in 1978.

So then went for a little look around and found this, one of my fave bands from the 90's...

    Grant Lee Buffalo ‎– Fuzzy
Image and video hosting by TinyPic
MOV reissue of their 1993 debut, sounds fucking gooooood!

Yay someone listened to it!! I find it really hard trying to sell songs to people on here, if you go too overboard in praising it it seems to put people off, which is frustrating when songs are this good. Glad you enjoyed it :)
