I just happen to be spinning this right now as I read your post. It's very good... A lot of Backspacer on it, which I think is why it doesn't get much attention, but everything from Backspacer (which i don't like at all) sounds soooooo much better live! I do find the fact that it says nowhere in the LO10L set where/when any of the songs were performed VERY strange though.

It's a really nice boxset. I like Backspacer, not their best granted but some great songs on there. Yeah, it is odd it doesn't state which shows the songs are from. Nothing As It Seems was worth the purchase alone.

Did a little shopping around today and came home with some books to sell and two records to keep:
Impulse reissue of the GREAT John Coltrane, "A Love Supreme" (to replace my old worn out copy) and Eric Dolphy with Booker Little, "Live at the Five Spot".
“The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man [or woman] who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.”
Most definitely! I will keep you in mind, for the next show. A lot of the same dealers are at the Lansing shows. Cheers!!!!

How does this one sound? And how much did it actually sell for on their site before it sold out? I would love to have one but I ain't about to pay $200+ on eBay for one. I'm cheap
it was like $86.00 with shipping . and if they took any tax . but that was the total I think
i thought they were salty . and it came like a boxset wasn't expecting that . Or did i take the time to read that it was a 4 LP boxset . lol
Still sealed no idea how they sound .
Hasting's here in town has this for $78.
What's so special about this? Is it a special reprint?
Wow. That's a cool looking Bleach vinyl. Was it some kind of edition? I got the 20th anniversary reissue back in 2009 and it's in white vinyl.

Question for vinyl experts, how do you know when you needle/cartridge needs to be replaced? I probably have a player towards the bottom end of players and just like listening.
Good hunting to all this weekend.

I'm not an expert, but I've been told by experts that you shouldn't wait until there are signs (I.e. background noise) to replace your needle, because are that point you're already doing damage to your records. Replace it before that. I've heard you should do it preemptively after about 600 hours of play time. Also heard once a year (for those who use their turntable a lot).
Theoretically, you should never have to replace your cartridge assuming you didn't break it. I think upgrading is a better way of looking at it. If you're happy with the sound with a new needle, no need to replace. If you think the sound could be better, buy a better one.
