A book I have 'The 100 Best albums Of All Time' has this record placed quite high up, so thought it was about time to check it out. And I wasn't disappointed, it's very good!

Both great finds, reesdog! Good show! Marquee Moon is one of the best albums to come out of the NYC CBGB era '70s. Didn't know it was re-released on vinyl- awesome! I have the original LP as well as the CD version. I prefer the vinyl sound but on the CD version the title song is a bit longer and sounds more complete.

Thanks Brian, yes very happy with this find, such a good album, especially that title track, wow! Iv'e had it on MP3 a while, but this vinyl version pisses all over it for sound dynamics... :)

I got VS when it came out so that was OK (once I rediscovered it at my folks place - what a day that was!!!), No Code was about £65 on EBay...I drunk bid on Yield and ended up paying £90 for that one. Won't be chasing the last 3 for a while...not sober anyway.

Too bad that Paolo Nutini album isn't available on vinyl :(

It is here in the UK (or at least it was), I got it from amazon for £13.53, pretty amazing price for a double disc set, oh and it sounds superb.

    Do you like that guy?
This record sounds nothing like his previous stuff - I was never really a fan before I heard Iron Sky.

Just received Paolo Nutini's Caustic Love today. Had to order it overseas. Been waiting too long for this.

Wow, how did you manage that? All you are missing is the Otis Redding release. Was the Hum album a RSD release?
  • Tim SimmonsTim Simmons Posts: 8,082
I picked up a couple of the bigger releases in post RSD online stock. But most I bought from 1 store.

It's funny you say I'm missing the Otis. Because that and the Sam Cooke I didn't get, and wanted.

The Hum wasn't an RSD exclusive. It was a new copy of the original pressing that the band dropped off at the store for RSD.

Picked up Led Zepplin CODA, Tom Petty Full Moon Fever and the Traveling Wilburys Volume 1 today.

Full moon fever is amazing! Very nice!
Thanks! Paid through the ass for CODA, but was happy that Full Moon was only $20, so it all balances out, at least in my mind.

Nice haul, except for the Katy Perry. For your wife right? ;)
