    Vinyl after cleaning.....

The box and sleeves are toast.
No scratches, none are warped, labels are damn near perfect. And they sound quiet, clean and beautiful.

So happy, my Pearl Jam vinyl collection is now complete. I have all official vinyl releases. :D
Nice! Who cares about the box when the records look (and sound) as good as that. Congrats on the deal

No love for Pavement eh... Oh well, I still dig them.
I love coming back onto this thread after a week or so away and seeing what everyone has picked up. This one is a masterpiece, probably one of my favourite records of the 90s.

I saw Pavement at the 1995 Reading Festival, not long after Wowee Zowee came out, and they were fantastic. There was a power cut at one point so the band spent the time jousting with drumsticks until the power came back! It was one of the greatest festival line ups I've ever seen. As well as Smashing Pumpkins, Beck, Tricky and the very new Foo Fighters earlier on the weekend, check out the line up for the Sunday:

    Blind Melon
    White Zombie
    Babes In Toyland
    Buffalo Tom
    Mudhoney
    Pavement
    Soundgarden
    Neil Young/Pearl Jam (Mirrorball set)

Yep it's a beauty of an album alright.

And wow, cool fesitval line-up! Went to the Reading Festival a few times myself, saw The Chilli Peppers, Manic Street Preachers, Beck, Elbow and a load more I can't remember because I was wasted. But never with a line up as good as the one you've mentioned. Ahhh the mid-nineties....what a goldern era for music!

Have been wanting this for quite a while, have seen it on Ebay etc, but kinda pricey. Then stumbled across it at one of my local record shops, in great condition, so was a no-brainer to grab it. :)

You and I think alike my friend. My new copy arrived on Thursday, I listened to it last night, what a great album. The MO-FI pressing is simply superb. It might be my best sounding record in the collection.

You're welcome. Glad it made it to you. :)

The weirdest thing happened when I was mailing it. I was there in the post office with my mom, and they tell me to fill out the mailing label, and I start to write that it's a vinyl record, and I completely forgot how to spell vinyl. I mean completely. I puzzled over it for a while. Made some failed attempts. Asked the postal worker, who clearlyvspoke English as a second language and wasn't helpful. My mom got in on it... finally i managed. :fp: It was literally the most severe brain shut down ever for me. I was actually disturbed. But then my mom said she once just completely forgot what day comes after Tuesday - complete and total blank out. Then I felt a bit better, because forgetting a day of the week is way worse than forgetting how to spell a word. Then I asked my mom if she thought she had experienced the first symptom of senility when that happened. :? But still.... I write the word vinyl every single day probably. :?

A shame it only goes to 1995 but still it was cool. :)

I bought it used at a local record shop, it would sound great if it wasn't so scuffed up. Tons of surface noise, I'll be returning this one for store credit. Way too many crackles and pops, and that's after I cleaned them.

Bummer. :( Record stores shouldn't even be selling that outside of the damaged section IMO. The reissue is still on Amazon I think...
