So Tex is out rest of season?

How much money has been on the bench between Tex, Jeter, Arod, and (god help me) Youklis?

Yeah, that is a blow. Very tough injury to come back from. Took Ortiz a long time. Bautista has bounced back okay from it, but not nearly as much power. Going to be interesting.

Assuming we pick up jeters option we would be around 70mm in contracts including arbitration eligible players, add 20 mill for cano and we still have 100mm to spend.

A whole lot of holes to fill though in one of the worst free agent classes I can remember. Pure dog shit.

Man, I love Cano, but if the Dodgers go nuts, I don't know how high I want the Yankees to go, especially with his pretty big declining splits. Utley for a tenth of Cano's contract doesn't sound too bad. They just REALLY need Cano's bat.

Yeah next season is going to be tough with the lack of FA but we will have the flexibility to take on contracts if they want to make a trade.

Word. Would be funny if Lee ended up with the Yankees. What would not be funny is that the Yankees would be getting the tail end of the contract.

I think we're ok with pitching if Pineda steps up, maybe bring back Kuroda, offense needs to be our main priority.

    CC
    Pineda
    Kuroda/Trade
    Phelps
    Nuno
    Nova
    Warren

    chase, chooch or m young?

Really hope they make a push for Ruiz. Black hole behind the plate this year, along with every other position except 2nd base

Michael young is horrible and as I said earlier, if the dodgers go crazy for cano, I want the yanks to make a push for Utley

Interesting stuff. The SI date thing is bizarre

The ship is sinking, folks. While I'm very disappointed that Mo is being sent out like this, I really hope they don't do anything stupid to make the playoffs in desperation
