I wasnt sure if they'd be able to keep it up for very long. Things are turning a bit mediocre, no?

They are only going to stay on so long with this rat pack. Reinforcements are on the way, very much needed.

Offense is the worst in the league. Pitching is the best

Gross. It was only a matter of time until they all turned back into pumpkins.

Infield is getting some help today, very much needed.

Met fans are all giddy over 4 game win streak in late May.

We save such giddiness for late October.

Rubber match and a great pitching match up tonight.

I am really starting to dislike Hughes

Did Texiera come back through the minors or what? How do they get 'em ready?
    7 k's in 9 AB. :fp:

    Gross stretch.

Never thought I would say this, but too bad Overbay is likely gone this afternoon.

Plus he didn't really have a spring training. 2 or so rehab games. Going to be a process.

Sucks, that guy can play ball. It sucks we cant send TEX down for a few weeks, but you know the Yankee Mentality, we're not paying 25 mil so he can hit in triple a :fp:

They should stick ichiro on the bench and throw Overbay in Right.

For sure. He's a huge reason they are where they are, even if they are struggling now.

I thought I read recently that he was taking some fly balls, but I guess that isn't happening anymore.

Sounds like the Yankees are looking to work out an extension with Girardi soon.

Will make me sick if Overbay is the casualty today. Heading out to the Stadium tonight to hopefully break the losing streak and welcome back Nick Swisher in his first game back in the Bronx

He should get a very nice and deserved hand.

Andy McCullough has Overbay headed the to the OF and sticking around with Boesch heading to Scranton. Makes some sense. Might be his last option though. Not sure if this is speculation or what.

Also, Vernon Wells is once again, Vernon Wells.

    Word. Good win.

Watching Mo this year just seems so special. All baseball fans should take a minute when he comes in to watch. You will never see another like him again.

Overbay and Teixeira had some funny antedotes (however that's spelled) about playing right field
