i would.
how do you think you get 15 wins while allowing 4 earned runs a game? it's because the yankees are 1st in the league in runs scored. a 4.00 era is pretty fucking below average to bad....and would actually be 6th best on the phillies rotation. 6th!
you have fun... in long islandwww.myspace.com0 -
Wouldn't consider a 4.00 ERA to be bad at all, considering he's a rookie.
Even with the Yankees' offense, I'd still say he's having a pretty great first season.
Of course I'd rather have Lee right now, but it's a little ridiculous to compare them. Down the road who knows how good Nova will be. We still have to let him progress.0 -

possibly. there was a point in the season he wasn't pitching well.I miss igotid880 -

just pointing out that it's ridiculous to compare him to cliff lee.
guy looks pretty good for a rookie though....of course the phils have rookie who is 10-1 but with a 2.85 era.www.myspace.com0 -

Nice.
Wins are not a reliable stat. Especially when backed up by the best offense in baseball.
Cliff Lee had a game when he pitched 8 innings, gave up 1 run, hit a homer, and still got a no decision.Spectrum 10/27/09; New Orleans JazzFest 5/1/10; Made in America 9/2/12; Phila, PA 10/21/13; Phila, PA 10/22/13; Baltimore Arena 10/27/13; Phila, PA 4/28/16; Phila, PA 4/29/16; Fenway Park 8/7/16; Fenway Park 9/2/18; Asbury Park 9/18/21; Camden 9/14/22; Las Vegas 5/16/24; Las Vegas 5/18/24; Phila, PA 9/7/24; Phila, PA 9/9/24; Baltimore Arena 9/12/24; Pittsburgh 5/16/25; Pittsburgh 5/18/25

Those are all good regular season numbers for a team that scores a million runs. I'd like one of you Yanks fans to tell me that you prefer Nova to Lee as a playoff starter.Spectrum 10/27/09; New Orleans JazzFest 5/1/10; Made in America 9/2/12; Phila, PA 10/21/13; Phila, PA 10/22/13; Baltimore Arena 10/27/13; Phila, PA 4/28/16; Phila, PA 4/29/16; Fenway Park 8/7/16; Fenway Park 9/2/18; Asbury Park 9/18/21; Camden 9/14/22; Las Vegas 5/16/24; Las Vegas 5/18/24; Phila, PA 9/7/24; Phila, PA 9/9/24; Baltimore Arena 9/12/24; Pittsburgh 5/16/25; Pittsburgh 5/18/25

Don't know why you both won't let this drop, it's pretty obvious that Lee's the better pitcher. Can we move on?0

It was only about 3 posts really. This season is too long - need the playoffs to start.Spectrum 10/27/09; New Orleans JazzFest 5/1/10; Made in America 9/2/12; Phila, PA 10/21/13; Phila, PA 10/22/13; Baltimore Arena 10/27/13; Phila, PA 4/28/16; Phila, PA 4/29/16; Fenway Park 8/7/16; Fenway Park 9/2/18; Asbury Park 9/18/21; Camden 9/14/22; Las Vegas 5/16/24; Las Vegas 5/18/24; Phila, PA 9/7/24; Phila, PA 9/9/24; Baltimore Arena 9/12/24; Pittsburgh 5/16/25; Pittsburgh 5/18/25
