Girardi needs to stop pretending Tex is a good hitter anymore and drop this bum to at least 7th.

how much $$$ is he still owed? until when? :?

Where do you guys get this stuff from? Are you 12 year olds? The guy hit 39 HR last year with 111 RBI. 39!!!!! The year before that he hit 33/108. He hasn't hit less than 30 HR's or had less than 100 RBI since his rookie season (2003) when he hit 26/84!!!!

Yes, he's no longer a .300 hitter. But, to say he is not a good hitter and you want a 35 HR/110 RBI guy to be hitting 7th just makes you look silly. He's a notoriously slow starter.

I agree he's no longer the ideal #3 hitter. But, he's either a 4 or a 5, and only because of the team he's on.

Don't be one of those people. On top of which, even if he started hitting "only" upper 20 HR, he's one of the best fielding 1B in the game today.
Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.

Awful hitting. Another good start by Hughes. They're now what? 3 for their last 41 with RISP?

Awful with this team you expect those numbers in October not May.

though wouldn't you rather have that in May as opposed to October?

Really hope they start playing like themselves soon. Sick of watching mediocrity this season.

Yeah, not sure what to say about this season so far. Frustrating to watch, so damn inconsistent. That said, I think this is the weekend they turned it around in 2009 so hopefully they can get it together soon. Tough season so far though. The last 2 nights have been brutal.

They were 13-15 in their first 28 games without Alex Rodriguez. They went to 15-17 and then won eight in a row and 17 of 23 before getting swept in Boston. That was part of eight losses in 12 games that made their record 38-32. After that point, they won 13 of 18 going into the All-Star break. Following the break, they won 40 of their next 53 games, going into mid-Sept.

This team has some problems right now. Girardi didn't seem like a happy camper post game yesterday.

This team is in rough shape right now. Gotta get it turned around. Beautiful day at the stadium yesterday went to shit at the end of the game though. Good time though.

Jeter and Ibanez are the lone bright spots.
