Not with actual tears streaming down my cheeks, but they choke me up quite often. No particular song(s)...I guess it's more of a place and time thing.

I just ran my first marathon (Chicago '09), and with a mile to go after 25 miles of not listening to my iPod I threw on "Backspacer" with "Gonna See My Friend" first to fire me up and then "Unthought Known". The latter brought tears to my eyes when I saw the finish line in sight. I had a pretty crappy illness growing up where I wasn't sure that I'd ever be able to even think about trying for something like a marathon. The memories of the sacrifices my parents made, the care of my doctors, and the build up of that song especially the piano really made me choke up.
My wife attended only her second PJ concert last year (1st Mansfield show; her first was the previous night in Hartford ). She couldn't understand why I would drag her to see the same band THREE TIMES in 4 NIGHTS!! When PJ started playing Black, I looked over and tears where streaming down her face. We both are counting the days to Philly- she insisted in getting tix for all 4 nights :!:
As for me; shit- so many times I have been choked up. Seeing my 5 year old daughter doing the hallelujahs in Do the Evolution...reflecting on my past mistakes on Thumbing My Way...thinking on how blessed I am after hearing Just Breathe the first time...

ALL FOUR 09 PHILLY SHOWS!!
Choked up at Virgina Beach 2000. During the Daughter tag by Bad Moon "It's Okay" best version of the tag ever. It was their 1st show and start of the American Leg of 2000 tour following the Roskilde tragedy....God Bless. Absolutely amazing and gave me goose bumps at the same time I got choked up. Later in that show Ed tells the crowd "there was a kid named Anthony and this was his favorite song" WHile playing Off he Goes Ed is swaying back and forth and there is a moth (In the south they are colorful like butterflies) swooping back and forth over Ed's head. Makes you think a little
i met my best through pearl jam. when she passed away i couldn't even listen to pearl jam for well over a year. two weeks ago at acl, i choked up a lot. no tears. ok maybe one or two. but it was more like tears of joy. its one of those moments when you realize you are not alone, and im not talking about the people aorund me.
Not cried as such, but I certainly had alump in my throat when I saw them at the O2 this year. It was more the fact that I was actually seeing them live after years of waiting that had me all emotional.
~ Better Man made me cry with sheer happiness at the O2 show this year.
~ Light Years, The End, Man of the Hour and Release after the death of my Dad in August.
~ Nothingman when my relationship with my ex-partner was breaking down.
~ GTF puts a tear in my eye whenever i'm getting over something massive in my life.
Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...
... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.
Is that the question
And if so...if so...who answers...who answers...
..we are all still and stand alive......
I know someday you'll have a beautiful life,
I know you'll be a star in somebody else's sky, but why
Why, why can't it be, can't it be mine
and all that he frees, a little bittersweet, it's home
it's nothing as it seems, the little that you see, it's home...
he was okay, but wondering about wandering
I did a what I had to do. Oh, and if there was a reason... Oh, there wasn't no reason. no.
And if there's something you'd like to do. Oh, just let me continue to blame you.
And the days, they linger on
And every night, what I'm waiting for
Is the real possibility I may meet you in my dream
"...Dimitri...He talks to me...'.."The Ghost of Greece..".
"..That's One Happy Fuckin Ghost.."
“..That came up on the Pillow Case...This is for the Greek, With Our Apologies.....”
Not cried as such, but I certainly had alump in my throat when I saw them at the O2 this year. It was more the fact that I was actually seeing them live after years of waiting that had me all emotional.
Yeah, it was the same for me in Manchester. Eddie only sung two lines of "Long Road" and I almost went to pieces.
The most touching song ever is "Slight of Hand"...that song always makes me cry!!! Also when I watch DVD "Cornice" from Italy and realize how much I LOVE THEM and how much they can touch people in other countries...that brings a tear to my eye!
Definitely but it's certainly not a bad thing.
Pearl Jam has been a part of my life for 15 years and their music means so much to me. As they have grown so have I
Plus I'm not sure how I would have made it through high school without them.

Come Back gives me a lump in my throat every time I hear it. I'm Open does the same.
The first time I heard The End I was listening to it with head phones on, with my eyes closed. Half way through I started bawling, not just a few tears but full on body heaving sobbing.

WOW i have cried to so many PJ songs over the last 18 yrs. I must admit everytime i play TEN i get very emotional.
Yeah, same here. I was listening to TEN recently and got choked up listening to Release.
Sometimes I can't believe I've loved them for so long and I don't know what I'd do if they weren't in my life...they've saved me so many times.
St. John's Newfound 2005, Concert #1, Thumbing My Way. I was lonely, and thinking of my grandpa who I never met, which made me lonlier.
There is no such thing as leftover pizza. There is now pizza and later pizza. - anonymous The risk I took was calculated, but man, am I bad at math - The Mincing Mockingbird
every show I've been to, at least once. at home, many a time aswell.
my first ever time seeing PJ live was in Dublin, 2006. I was really hoping they'd play Indifference and when Jeff played those first few notes I was gone. absolutely magical.
London and Dusseldorf in 2007, I'm _sure_ I cried but can't remember specific moments. Copenhagen on that same year, however, don't think I stopped crying at any point.
all tears of joy and of sorrow.
cried during Sleight of Hand (and some other song too, can't remember which but I do remember that the person I was with noticed ) in Manchester. I hadn't realised how much I'd wanted to hear that song live until I did.
as for non-concert tears.. two times really stand out. the first time I heard Indifference and the first time I heard Unthought Known.
Indifference made me realise things that were going to hell in my life at the time. they were upset tears, but it all lead to good things. Unthought Known - oh man - hearing that song was such an awesome moment! I had waited and waited, didn't want to listen to Backspacer before official release. I was sitting at home, headphones on and volume up. I cried and smiled all through the song. gems and rhinestones!
"Don't be faint-hearted, I have a solution! We shall go and commandeer some small craft, then drift at leisure until we happen upon another ideal place for our waterside supper with riparian entertainments."
quite a few times, but recently listing to light years from the o2 on the way home from my work,
when i got home from the O2 gig and my wife asked how it was, after i told here about ed and the start of leaving here, even she was chocking up, and she wasn't even there...
