You can thank the one and only Patrick Warburton aka Puddy from Seinfeld and from Rules of Engagement for most of that fantastic setlist last night! Patrick is a huge fan, he befriended Eddie. Eddie asked Patrick to put together a setlist, he did and about 80% of what we heard last night was from that list. "Nothingman", "Alone", "Spin The Black Circle", "Untitled", "All Those Yesterdays", "Wishlist", "Blood" and "Crown of Thorns" and a few others. Patrick is so freakin' cool!!!
I wanna say THANKS Patrick great work on that setlist!!! Keep rocking and stay funny!!!
Steve
That is pretty sweet, but how do you know this?
Glad you asked! Ok I saw Patrick at LA2 and spoke briefly to him, told him I loved his new show and he is great in it. The next day my roommate, who is a sound guy in Entertainment News was on the set of Rules. He told Patrick that his buddies saw him at PJ show, and he remembered meeting us. Patrick than opened up to him and told him how Eddie asked him to put together a setlist for one of the last 2 nights. Apparently, other cast members said is he talking about his new boyfriend again...teasing him about being such a fan. So low and behold I run into Patrick last night in the VIP area (I lucked out to get in there) and went up to him and asked him about what he told my roomie. He was estatic, he whipped out a copy of the email he sent to Eddie and all those songs were on there minus a few but Patrick said it was cool cuz he heard them on the other nights. He went down the list "Spin the Black Circle", "Untitled" it was all there, he is awesome, so cool, took pics with us, chatted over a half hour with us...he listened to my semi drunk jibber...we both went up to McCready backstage and took photos...it was an amazing evening!!!!
In terms of taking your kids - I think it depends on the kids. I would've taken my daughter to the shows in 2006 but I only had two tickets and my husband wanted to go. She was sort of annoyed. But I think she was old enough then.
I did prep her though for last night - about the language. But she knows the songs and she's heard me drop the F-bomb enough so I knew that would be okay. And I told her about pot, too. (On the rare occasions I smoke these days I make sure she's no where around.) So last night when this huge cloud of smoke came up in front of her I said, "That's it." And she said it smelled gross. Ah, to be 13 again.
And one more time I'll say it, that show last night was sick. But I liked the other three shows, too. Bring on the bootlegs.
I'm bummed I was out of town last week and missed the first two LA shows, but man am I thrilled I was lucky enough to witness the greatness that was the last two nights. Can't wait till San Diego on Friday!
Here's a video I took of "Kick Out The Jams". Loading others now, I'll post links when they're up.

I told all my friends this was one of my top 3 (non-sexual) nights of my life. Before I got into VIP and chatted up Patrick, I was in Orch 8 TT and behind us standing was Laura Dern and Sheryl Crow for the encores (why were they there I have no idea??) After "Crown of Thorns" I turned around and high-fived both of them!! Than told Sheryl how great she was at Bridge School back in err 2001 I think (I had to say something to her), she went on before The Who and I was amazed how talented she was...after that I had a whole new respect for her. She did an Asian bow to me and said thanks, that is very sweet of you too say...dam she still looks good!!!! All of this and I scalped last nights ticket from this Forum! Many thanks to all you PJ fans...we are the fuckin coolest and PJ is the best band...period!!!!
one of the best shows i have ever seen. i still can't believe it happened. ALL THOSE YESTERDAYS?????
happy to be in san diego tonight, ready for more tomorrow!
I know! You guys are soo lucky!!! Did Pati and Lydi make it in to the show?? I REALLY hope they did. My gut tells me they were there crying their eyes out (in joy) lol.

Did anyone post Alone in youtube? Would love to see this gem.
You guys are so lucky! This is the second time I miss CC with PJ :( - Santa Barbara and Yesterday.
I hope the philly shows are as spectacular as the ones from LA.
Hoping for a 4-show bootleg set for LA similar to what was done for The Gorge. Each LA show alone was fantastic...the four together was just f*cking amazing.

1. My wife and I got Pit AAA seats (front row in front of Jeff)
2. In addition to the amazing set and performance of the night, we together held up Eddie while he was singing the 2nd half of Porch. He took my hand to help him off the stage, then he was holding my wife's hand for leverage as I was holding both of his legs for support as he stood on the front row rail.
3. At the end of the show Mike came down and shook my hand and handed my wife and I his setlist.
What a night!

Thank you once again one and all. I'll never forget everything I've exerpienced over the last few days here in Los Angeles. The reception staff at Universal Hilton just commented that I'm one of the happiest people they've seen in the place in ages. I'm looking so out of place here amongst the suits and ties and I couldn't be happier.

Hi Chris, great meeting you - please keep in touch, I hope to be back in a couple of years with the whole family. PJ - please take note - another tour atthis time would be great.
Don't tell my other half but i plan to make it our honeymoon, that's if i can delay walking down the isle another two years. She's waited 8 so far, what's another couple? <Paul ducks all projectiles thrown by every girl on the board>.
I did a romantic (or cheesy/ or silly> thing today down on Hollywood Blvd and had her name tattooed on my ring finger - who said i had commitment issues? haha
Did anyone catch that thing right at the end where some dude in the front grabbed Eddie and pulled him off the stage? Ed was back up in a second and they threw he guy out.. but like.. wtf?
I saw that and thought, that's why Eddie generally does not shake people's hands in the audience. He does it one time and the guy just yanks him off stage. So stupid to do such a thing, especially when you're already lucky enough to have a front row seat...
Someone may have already responded but I was a few rows back in the section below that and saw the whole thing go down. Eddie gave that man's son a pic and then shook the father's hand. It looked like he tried to get closer to Ed/pull him slightly closer so that he could tell him something and then Ed got pulled down. It looked like an accident but who knows. Those people got to those seats later in the show so I don't think they belonged there.
