I'll say this much though.... Your Dallas Stars girls are fucking gorgeous....and probably the best thing I've ever seen come out of Dallas.

    I love the Stars!

And let's not getting into a pissing match over which city is better because that is subjective and no one from either place is going to change their minds. Besides, you can have your winters and cheese steaks. I'll take my warm winter, BBQ, Tex Mex, margaritas, cheap housing, and Ice Girls any time. ;)

Point is the Cowboys suck right now and I may back off that 10-6 predicion. Looking a lot like 7-9 now. Jesus that was a frustrating game.

According to this article Romo didn't even know it was 4th down.

Amazing misses a wide open Auston trying to complete a pass to his 4th receiver who's covered by one of the best CB, and now he forgot what down it was.

Don't believe everything you hear from the media:

    Cowboys Explain Romo--4th Down Controversy
Posted by jellis at 10/6/2009 5:04 PM CDT

This from Cowboys spokesman Rich Dalrymple regarding whether Tony Romo was aware it was fourth down on his final throw into the end zone of Sunday's loss to the Broncos:

As Tony was walking off the field after the fourth down play, he saw that the down marker on the Dallas sideline read “3.” As it turned out, the marker was in the process of being changed, sequentially, from the number “4” to the number “1” for the Broncos ensuing possession. The marker on the Cowboys side read “3” temporarily. When he saw the “3,” he thought there might have been the possibility of an error on the down count. After asking the officials (holding up three fingers), he then saw the down marker move through the progression from 3 to 2 to 1.

He told the offense it was fourth down in the huddle prior to the last play.
  • Just a friendly reminder that Tony Romo fucking sucks.

And let's not even pretend that 3,448 yards in a season is impressive. That's 215 yards a game. That ain't shit. This dude came from a shitty college and never won a big game and won't win one in the NFL either.

This is coming from a lifetime Cowboys fan but I'm not dumb enough to sit here and believe this talentless fuck is the messiah. He's a shitty QB. He may be "fearless" when it comes to throws but he couldn't win a fucking high school playoff game. Enough with this asshole.

That's fine. I don't necessarily agree, or would go that far, but we are stuck with him for the next 13 games at least, barring injury. John Kitna would not help us. But the shine is off Romo for sure as far as I am concerned.

My question is, are the receivers not getting open? Or is he missing them when they are? Where is Martellus Bennett? I thought he was supposed to make a huge impact this year.

Yes, I'm afraid that Romo is regressing back into an undrafted free agent...I just wonder who all has a hand in this...is it bad coaching on Garrett's part.....or Tony trying to be the "DALLAS COWBOYS QUARTERBACK" without putting in the hard work and extra effort? I don't know the answers to these questions...however I wish the media would quit comparing him to Danny White.....he's no Danny White.....who took his team to three straight NFC Championship games (which was a big deal when McNabb did it)...and was one miracle pass and catch from going to the Super Bowl

Tied with Pitt for division titles
And is always the most popular team amongst adult Americans which also carries the most haters and is the reason for the title of America's Team

(had this stuff from a conversation I was having earlier today, the internet is so full of useless info)

Yes Romo and Garrett are frustrating us, but its always good to be a Cowboys dork :)

oh man...going back to 1960 are you? that is rough.:lol::lol: talk about living in the past.

do you think you will win your first playoff game since january of 1997 this year? who is it, the bengals who are the only team with a longer streak right now? anyone? or wait....is it the lions?:lol:

Difficult as it is to turn attention away from the lovely Ice Girls, I have to say that if the Cowboys had lost that game to the Chiefs today they would be dead to me until Wade was fired.

Wow, the Cowboys did everything in their power to give the game to the Chiefs and they still found a way to win. But I wouldn't really be patting myself on the back if I were a Cowboy fan. I'm a lifelong Chiefs fan, and I'll admit they are the worst team in the NFL. And don't go thinking Austin is the next Michael Irvin. The Chiefs regularly give opposing players record days.

I think that was the plan. The original Dallas team vs. the "new" Dallas team.

Yeah, it was just weird seing the hats and hoodies on the coaches say "Dallas Texans". Did they sell Dallas Texans merch at the game?

Anyway, I am glad the bye week is here because good God.

But if you want to put a positive spin on it? The two losses the Cowboys have were against teams that are a combined 10-0 and both were at the last second (field goal by New York, fail by Romo in Denver). So there is the positive thought of the day and the only one you are getting from this Cowboys fan on this dreary Monday working on the 4th straight week of rain.

Methinks neither of those 5-0 teams are Super Bowl bound unfortunately. The return of Eli's 14 step drop will soon return as it does in the second half of every season of his career except one, and the Broncos could very well be 2-3 if they didn't pull off lucky/defensive wins at home. Such is the nature of the NFL, but I don't have anything good to say about the Cowboys @ 3-2 as well. The only good thing that this could bring is a rallying point for them to point to for the rest of the year. If, in a months time, the Cowboys are 7-2 or 6-3 and I'll believe that story though.

I'll never make that mistake. For him to really impress me he has to have good games against teams other than Tampa and KC, with that being said he would be my number 1 receiver against Atlanta in 2 weeks, Roy Williams hasn't shown me anything.

I agree, this isn't little league where everybody gets a chance to play, you go with the hot hand. Choice has had the hot hand going back to last year. Austin also should take Williams place as number 1.

I think Barber is fine for the first half, but then it's gotta be choice and queen felix when he gets back. i also agree that williams should be our number 2 that goes over the middle and makes possession catches and austin can be our deep threat. oh well, we'll see how things go after the bye.
  • Somebody made a good point about our losses. The Broncos and Giants both struggled to beat us. Those were far from asswhippings. It's not like we're the Raiders or the Titans (who I still can't believe are winless). I don't know why we don't use Choice more. We gotta get that dude at least 15-20 touches a game. He's explosive. And, no fucking way does Austin have 250 yeards receiving against the Giants or Colts or any other top tier (<---sp?) team. There was a lot of poor tackling by KC. Sort of like the Brandon Marshall play that beat us.

If we'll run the ball effectively. Let that set up some play action stuff. Do better covering and for fuck's sake TACKLE somebody, we'll have a solid year. The good thing is we haven't peaked yet. That's a good thing. You want to peak over the last month or 2 not during the first 2 months. Hopefully the staff and Romo have been taking notes on how to minimize some of the mistakes we've made. Oh, and Demarcus Ware needs to sack somebody over the next 400 plays.

We're not as bad as people are saying. Romo is just easy to hate. And Jeagler couldn't play a single down in the NFL so I don't put much stock in what that woman has to say. ;)

Most of what is being said here is true, because its so plain to see. Romo gave NYG the game, Dallas should have blown them away. We beat some of the worst teams by small margins because we constantly keep them in the game. The team crapped its self against Denver (who is overrated). May be there is a chance for Garret and Wade to save their jobs, but something is going to have to happen. The OCing is terrible, Garret SHOULD be gone if he doesn't do a better job. If Romo fails under a different OC, he should be gone next. I like Wade's def and would like to keep that, however.

Ever notice how the Analysts talk about Dallas? Its like they know that its not working and its obvious something has to change. Gaurantee there will be a coaching change if this season doens't go well.
Twenty-ten watch it go to fire!!!
  • Shanahan would be a good fit because his offenses are run-oriented and we have 3 pretty good backs that can do multiple things out of the backfield. I agree with the defense comment if they could learn to cover the deep halfs and be more consistent tacklers. If we could put together long, sustained drives, they'd have even more potential to really cause some problems. We have too many 3 and outs. Fuck a bunch of that. We have too much talent to see that regularly. Romo would function better without the added pressure of thinking he has to make big plays. I truly believe that Romo isn't the answer. He's better than Kyle Orton or Jake Delhomme but he's not as trustworthy as a Manning, Brady, or Brees....and I hate his interviews and his sissy ass dimples.
